Masquerade~
Paper faces on parade~
… I’m 90 percent sure I messed that up.
But anyway, Let’s see, what’s been going on since Tuesday…
Wednesday was spent at Rae’s house – though I barely remember what happened. Oh! Now I do. I went over there to find that Shana’s friend Haruhi was over, and since she’s been really hyped up over Pandora Hearts, I got to watch the first two episodes of said series. … So. Much. Angst. Well, kind of. I’m not really sure if you can call it angst, necessarily, but it’s like – holy-crap-what-is-going-on-here-save-Oz?-But-no-one-can-escape-from-the-Abyss-why-hasn’t-the-girl-aged-and-what-does-that-mean-for-Oz and GAH! There are probably spoilers in that sentence, so I spoiler-blocked it in case you’re looking into that series and don’t want to hear my rant on it. But still… gah. I may have to pick Kit’s brains a bit about that. Then in the evening when I finally got to my discussion board postings for Sociology Rae’s mom called and I ended up going to… well, we’re not allowed to call it Enrichment or Homemaking anymore, so… I got it! Monthly extra Relief Society Activities! I think that’s what they call them now… But yeah, we went to that, and we had soups in bread bowls. The Italian soup was amazing~! Then there were crafts later, but I didn’t sign up for any of them since I missed the Sunday that they were passing around the sign-up sheet. The glass boxes were sooooo cool though. ;A; that’s what I get for missing church, I suppose. Still, the shiny bows… and the Christmas lights inside. Gah.
Thursday was spent mainly sleeping, working on homework, and going to Institute in the evening. But the sleeping part was in part because a) I was dead tired, and b) I wasn’t feeling so hot.
Friday I slept probably until about noon… might’ve worked on homework a bit, not sure, and went to Rae’s house for dinner (her mom had invited me prior to that) – that being said, I got to meet the missionaries serving in our area. I knew one of the guys from before, but the other elder recently got transferred and the new elder in the area was there. Then when they tried to share a message with us (as they do, even when visiting the members for dinner and such as was this occasion), they put in a DVD that I guess they had JUST gotten that they had never seen before, called “finding happiness.” We tried to find English on the language settings and kept getting all of the Nordic/Scandanavian languages… then we got to Western Europe and there was only British English. So we watched that, and afterwards Shana joked “that was very nice… except I didn’t understand it because I can’t speak British.” XD afterwards Shana kind of talked me into sleeping over and she and Hana and I watched Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty (though when we put Sleeping Beauty on Hana decided to go to bed). I asked Shana if she was purposely trying to turn me into a total sap/hopeless romantic that night, and she replied, “yep.”
Twelve-year-olds say the darndest things sometimes.
Saturday was spent hanging out at Rae’s house – drawing collabs with Shana on my laptop (though that was actually Friday night… oops), watching Babar and, in my case, writing fanfiction was the name of the game. That is, after we got back from playing at the park for several hours and singing Christmas carols. And hot chocolate, we had that too. ^^
Sunday, I went to church, came home, checked what I needed to check, and slept until about 3 pm, at which time I took a shower and desperately attempted to straighten my hair before Kya came to pick me up (the outfit I was going to wear to the play that night, at least I think, goes better with straight hair). Which I did, but barely. ^^;
“What play?” You ask. Look at the post title!
Yes, we saw The Phantom of the Opera.
It. Was. AMAZING!
My only regret was that, like with the TSO concert last year, we had to go on a Sunday.
I won’t go into details about the show so as not to spoil it (since I know one of Rae’s siblings is going to see it on the 20th with his school’s orchestra – dang it, how come a JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL can afford stuff like that but a HIGH SCHOOL couldn’t?!). I will say one thing though: towards the end of the prologue, be prepared for a rather shocking surprise with the unveiling of the chandelier.
… what am I talking about? He probably won’t even read this! Ah well, if Rae reads this I suppose she could pass the message on… and on that note, Rae, if you ARE reading this, you better have gotten well into your American History work for the day beforehand. And any other homework you might have.
Ren: -_- you’re not her mother.
CCR: I know, I know, but… eh. What can I say?
Well, that be all, unless I were to talk about school today… and the fact that I’m sleeping over at Kya’s tonight, but that isn’t much really. Until next time, ja ne~!
