Preparation Day Three: Now I Know Why we Devoted a Whole Day to Packing
Packing for an international flight is A LOT more stress than needed. Heck, I don’t even know if my colored pencils will be allowed, and we’re constantly trying to figure out what we can take out of my check-in luggage so it won’t be weighed over the limit (Thailand this wouldn’t be as much of a problem – they’ll just fine us $1 for every kilogram we are over. The US however isn’t so kind). Not only that, but I’m afraid that if I can’t bring my pencils and they won’t let me put it in the check-in luggage that they might make me throw them out… This is so freakin’ confusing!

Allen: but aren’t most of your pencils in the checked-in luggage anyway?

CCR: yes, but I have a pencil box full of extra pencils, a couple of markers, erasers, lead for my pencil, and pens (on that note I’m hoping my pen doesn’t go and leak everywhere on the plane – some pens supposedly do). And that’s in my backpack because it won’t possibly fit in my general carry-on and as it is we have to keep taking stuff out of my luggage.

“It’s exactly at 50 punds.”

Good, that works. We’ll have to hope their scales at Sky Harbor and the airport in LA are the same as the one we’re using for our luggage… and that they’ll let me through with any souvenirs that we might buy on the way home. Gah, this is such a chore! And it’s already 3:30.

Ren: you’ll just have to learn to control yourself on souvenir purchases.

CCR: I guess so… I guess it’s like what my grandma said earlier, it has to really jump out at me and shout “buy me!” The problem is that for my first trip like this, there might be several things doing that at me.

Ed: well keep this in mind when you go shopping through Akiba in Japan: if you’ve seen it at a con, wait until Saboten.

CCR: if not?

Ed: go ahead and buy it for all I care.

CCR: alrighty then!

… But now that we’re done packing, I wonder what we’re gonna do the rest of the day?

Ren: aside from making dinner with your grandmother?

CCR: but I don’t know the first thing about making Filet Mignon! This’ll be the first time I’ve ever EATEN Filet Mignon!

Allen: filet mignon? You serious?

CCR: I’m pretty sure that’s what my grandma had on the menu for tonight. And she’s a really good cook, too, so you won’t be missing out on anything just because we’re eating in tonight.

Allen: well that’s good. ^^ … Wait, but since we’re technically -

CCR: well how does it work when we have family dinner back home? I was never entirely sure of that except you ate in the Technically Nonexistent Room’s dining area.

Ren: it’s the same food that your mom or dad makes.

CCR: then I guess it’ll probably apply the same way…

…. I’m still kinda -

Ren: don’t worry about it!

CCR: but -

Ren: it didn’t say anything on the sites you looked up about pencils being allowed or disallowed, did it?

CCR: no…

Ren: then nine out of ten, unless the security officer is especially anal, they’ll let it pass.

CCR: true, true… just I get a little paranoid is all.

So aside from packing and trying on whatever clothes my grandma had bought that I hadn’t tested yet/trying on any of the ones that I didn’t know if they would still fit me, all I’ve really done today is check my e-mail and eat breakfast. And you know, type this post, but…

I could really go for one of those 8-inch pizzas like the one I had at Little Bite of Italy for lunch yesterday right about now. Or – wait a sec, that’s it! The leftover pasta from Sunday night! So since I doubt we’ll do much after dinner unless we go to the movies or the pool, I’ll wrap this up as being today’s post. Until next time, ja ne!

Preparation Day Two: Pre-Trip Shopping Officially Completed
Tomorrow, we pack mine and my grandpa’s bags (grandma already has her stuff packed and ready to go). And we might go to the movies to see Up, depending on how late we sleep in and how we feel.

Allen: hey CCR, can you write down the next few days of the week until we leave, not including tonight, on these slips of paper and mix them into this hat?

CCR: … o-kay. Why?

Allen: we’re doing this to decide who gets the extra bed in the guest room after you’re done packing and have it cleared off. (A/N: currently all of my stuff, suitcase and carry-on included, is on the bed waiting to be put in their bags)

CCR: o.O

So as stated in the subject line/title, my grandma and I got some last-minute shopping done for the trip. That, mealtimes, and another trip to the pool pretty much made up our day, and I kinda got out of the tetanus shot that they say I technically don’t even need today because the doctor who was supposed to run the travel-related vaccination office cancelled the appointment (I still say that shot they gave me in the nurse’s office during Immunization Update week in 8th grade was it). Now I’m in my grandparents’ living room watching The Bachelorette with my grandma, since for one reason or other she asked my grandpa to record it along with the soap operas she’s been watching for as long as I can remember. The same ones too!

“Blank? What does ‘blank’ mean?”

*sigh* why do I have a feeling this may end badly… guys, what now?

Ren: Ed forgot that one person wouldn’t get the extra bed at all unless the suitcases were cleared tonight.

CCR: if you want I can just -

Allen: no it’s fine – if it’s too much trouble this way I’ll back out and take the blank paper.

Ren: no, Fullmetal Shrimp needs to accept what paper he’s drawn.

Ed: IMNOTASHRIMP!!!

CCR: *knocks Ed out before his short rant gets too out of hand* Look guys, technically none of you even exist anyway, and typically the Technically Nonexistent Room back at home doesn’t have mattresses short of floor futons, unless someone made an upgrade I’m not aware of. And then my grandparents’ carpet isn’t that bad comfort-wise – nor are their couches any less comfortable than the sofa back home (in fact I’d dare to say they’re even more comfortable). If all else fails, I’m sure they have an extra inflatable bed. No one has to “give up” a comfortable night’s sleep. Given these options, is there anything else to fight about on this subject?

All but Ed: … no.

Ed: *regains consciousness* what?

CCR: no one gets the spare bed for now.

Ed: *shrug* meh, not like I haven’t roughed it before.

CCR: wow, you took that awfully well.

… Am I the only one who’s noticed that at least as far in as this season is, all of the guys on The Bachelorette have either black or brown hair? Either all the blonds got weeded out already or it was rigged.

Ren: you’re actually getting into this show?

CCR: *shrug* heck, why not?

Liet: … why is it I can see Feliks(sp? And I know it’s not with an x) (Poland) watching a show like this?

CCR: so can I, but then you’re pretty much his best friend, so you’d know him better than I would. O.O Holy crappola, I thought the roses were only given to certain guys! But it’s more like the marshmallow ceremony in Total Drama Island! Except there isn’t a campfire and the roses aren’t in an edible state.

Ren: … should we go?

CCR: you don’t have to. Besides, the room is just across the hall anyway, and the show’s over… *yawn* that’s my signal I guess.

Ren: wow, for once you’re actually saying it before I start telling you to go to bed.

CCR: *shrug* what can I say? I haven’t denied being tired any of those times anyway. Until next time, ja ne!

Preparation Day One: Arrival at Surprise
After a hectic morning, receiving an award that I never thought I would actually get, and Mom coming home unexpectedly having gone on call, my grandparents came and picked us up. As they drove, we discussed possible places to eat, Italian cuisine being the preferred choice that night. I selected Tagliani’s, a restaurant we haven’t been to in I don’t remember how long – they accepted the idea and I had spaghetti marinara with pine nuts (and don’t forget the minestrone, and the Cesar salad… mmm…).

Ren: careful, you’ll make Goku hungry if he reads all of this.

CCR: do you really think the guys back home would read my posts over the next few days and whatever posts I manage to get up over the vacation?

Ren: knowing some of them, I wouldn’t be surprised at all…

*Back at the house…*

Goku: I’m bored, I’m hungry, and I dare not go beyond the front or back yard considering Gojyo and Kana are just a block or so away… And that one guy over at Rae’s with the scarf… or his crazy knife-wielding sister.

Zelgadiss: who on Earth -

Ishida (and yes, we are talking about the Bleach Ishida): Ivan a.k.a Russia, and his sister Natalia/Natasha, a.k.a Belarus. Axis Powers Hetalia.

Zelgadiss: I should’ve known.

Goku: :D Ishida-san! Where’ve you been all this time?

Ishida: not here… I’m just pretty much a filler/guest character now rather than a regular. *leaves*

Goku: ohh… say, anyone wanna see if CCR’s posted yet?

Zelgadiss: who knows if she’ll even get the chance to post? Her grandparents tend to keep her pretty busy, even in the evenings with watching rented movies from Blockbuster, bubble baths and fattening her up with ice cream for dessert every night.

Goku: true, but you never know. *goes onto theO and checks* …. …

Zelgadiss: she didn’t post yet, did she?

Goku: guess not. Hey, where did Jun go?

Tail: last I saw she and that one zombie guy were leaving with a bunch of suitcases and giggling girls.

Goku: why suitcases?

Zelgadiss: another sleepover with her co-workers at the restaurant I’m gonna guess. But then Pailong’s never tagged along on one of those before…

all: … *shrug*

*Scene change again to CCR’s grandparents’ house in the guest room*

Liet: … that was strange.

CCR: oh, the scene changes? I try to ignore those after a while (even though I write them, but shush!)

After dinner, we went and rented a couple of movies for the next two nights or so… and we didn’t even watch one of them tonight.

Ren: because you thought you were going to make this post brief and then go to bed.

CCR: *shrug* Kyarri’s texting me regarding the Edward Cullen poster on her ceiling that her mom put there. And you know, who ever said anything about these posts being short?

But alas, it is rather late. Until next time, ja ne!

Good Morning, myO...
Saying “morning” because I’m starting this at 10:48 am at Tawny’s house. I probably won’t finish this post at this time, but you know, figure I’d start out my morning with something productive…

Ed: productive… these posts are productive?

CCR: well I’d like to think so. They leave a legacy for my posterity (or if nothing else shows them their mother was just as much of a nutcase teenager as they might become), given I have all my posts archived on Word… And compiling all the old posts back in ’06 when I started the Word archiving process counted toward my Individual Worth project!

… *stomach growls*

Ed: wanna get some food in that stomach first?

CCR: I don’t want to be rude though…

Ren: knowing Tawny she wouldn’t deem it “rude.”

CCR: true…

So Thursday, my brother wanted to go to Sun Splash… However, I wasn’t too keen on going because the only swimsuit I could find is a tad more revealing than I would’ve liked (and it takes a lot to say that about a one-piece). Thankfully though Tawny kidnapped me with her sisters… resulting in a rather humorous experience when my brother was the one who answered the door for them (and he for some reason keeps flirting with the youngest one because they’re the same age) – in his swim trunks. He closed the door and, for one reason or other, all he could get out was, “Not cool, I’m not wearing a shirt!” That kept us laughing for a while. I came home later that evening to find something rather surprising however: my dad was on his way home.

Friday, Dad dragged my mom, my brother and I all around town – from the town to the grove… wait, why am I quoting “A-Maying, A-Playing?” (One of the songs that I sang with Dolce during our last choir concert) Anyway, we’re about to go to Sonic to get something to eat, so I shall continue this later.

Same day (or rather night now), 11:19 pm

Anyway, song quote aside… Dad dragged us first to the barber to get my brother’s hair cut, then to the eye doctor to get his glasses fixed (I guess the bridge on one pair was too loose or something), then we went out to breakfast - no wait, after the barber we went out to breakfast, and THEN to the eye doctor. Afterwards Mom suggested we all go to the swap meet and walk around, which is where I got a little penguin pendant – that came in a penguin-shaped box! ^^ Then as though that weren’t enough, he took us to Wal-Mart to stock up on milk, cat food, dog food… and yogurt? Yes, yogurt. They were on sale, 10 for $5. We go home (FINALLY!), I took a good long nap, and wake up to some of my relatives over. I hung out for a bit, then after Rae’s mom invited me to dinner Andrew picked me up from their house and took me over to Tawny’s. Which is where I was today until almost 3 pm… then I spent the rest of the day at Rae’s. Because I thought I’d see my friends before I left for Japan. *yawns loudly*

Ren: speaking of which…

CCR: I know, I know, I need to go to bed. But right now I’ve gotta wait for my camera’s battery to charge (since my brother wore it down beyond belief, the turd).

Ren: that can be done overnight.

CCR: not easily.

Ren: well are you at least packed?

CCR: yeah… oh, wow. I can type with my eyes closed with only minor spelling errors. Pretty slick huh? And that whole statement didn’t even have any errors…

Ren: and you’re closing your eyes as you type. Do you WANT to fall asleep in church tomorrow?

CCR: no…

Ren: then I suggest you go to bed so you don’t end up doing so, or worse sleeping in so late that Rae’s family tries to call you repeatedly but you don’t answer.

CCR: I’ve probably never slept through my phone ringing before – we’ve known that since the day I got the thing and I left it on in the middle of the night… someone I didn’t know called at three in the stinkin’ morning and scared me half to death. By the way, have we established who else is going with us to Japan since I know you and Edo-kun are coming along?

Zelgadiss: I’d rather not go to a place so crowded as Tokyo…

Goku: I don’t think I can. But then if it gets me away from Gojyo -

Ren: YOU’RE not given the option – you’re staying here.

Goku: aw man…

Jun: I have to work, so nine out of ten I won’t be able to like originally planned…

CCR: … wow. Does that make everyone?

Dark: don’t forget me.

CCR: … I’m sorry, but I’m not sure, considering your reputation…

Dark: oh, I was gonna say I wouldn’t be able to go anyway.

Allen: considering Japan is…

CCR: in our century, Allen, Japan is NOT a hideout for the Earl. It’s Akuma-free.

Allen: then I suppose I can come.

CCR: I guess that mainly leaves Tail, who also can’t go because he’d eat my grandparents out of every last yen they’ve ordered through the bank – and then when we get to Thailand every last Baht…. And Liet-kun, but… (read the post from Wednesday to see who “Liet” is)

Liet: actually a trip to Japan wouldn’t be too bad… I believe Kiku-san lives somewhere in Tokyo, so maybe I could drop by. And considering it’ll get me away from Ivan for a while since he pretty much lives down the street from here.

CCR: he ain’t gonna be happy with that.

Liet: keep in mind though I’m independent now – there’s not as much he can do.

Zelgadiss: except, you know, go yandere… and why I’m using that term I do not know.

*CCR yawns again*

Ren: that’s it, bed.

CCR: but -

Ren: your camera battery can probably charge overnight. Bed. Now.

CCR: fine. Until next time, ja ne!

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho
It’s off to work I go! On those OC requests for Rae and Shana, anyway… and one challenge entry that I’m working on, but what I’ve got so far I don’t know if I’ll upload since it involves my Shaman King OC. Or if I upload what I have, I might not give an explanation of how I interpret it and leave it to the interpretation of the viewer.

Ren: -///- don’t tell me it’s the -

CCR: >///< HECK NO! For the love challenge, if I entered that one, I’d probably just draw a SouMaka or something. This is for the “draw something sad” challenge from Haruka Kanata (?). I tried drawing something else, but what I had in mind wasn’t working out. And I knew I’d draw something like this eventually. Still, now that I’ve started inking it… I have some other ideas too now after watching that Hetalia MAD again (the one I put in one of my posts a while back… yeah, the sad/depressing one that makes one want to cry). But then that might seriously produce some waterworks on my end.

But eventually, come the afternoon or so, I went over to Rae’s house out of boredom and need to get out of the house – even though Rae and Shana, of course, are at camp. Kitty!Soul and her sister, whom they had caught that morning, were given away to a hopefully good home down the street. Poor Shana will probably be devastated, but what can be done? She was aware that her mom was looking for a home for them other than the backyard again or their house.
… You know what? I’m gonna try something out of boredom. *Goes on to Youtube*

Ed: not more Hetalia MADs…

CCR: not quite. Though that reminds me, I gotta check and see if there are any more comics that have been translated. But that’ll be later! What I’m really looking up… well, that’s a secret unless I actually find something. *types in her query and clicks enter* …. … … yeah, nothing here. NOW I’m gonna look up Hetalia MADs. ^^ And work on this entry a bit more… I think I might actually submit it, but as a personal work rather than a Shaman King fan character, for in some ways it is. *types in Hetalia and gets numerous results* … wait, Rome can sing?!

*clicks on the link for ep. 18 of the anime, even though she hasn’t been watching much of the Hetalia anime at all* … crap, it’s not subbed – XD ROFL but still funny. Go Yao, Go! … wait – O__O IS THAT ROME?! … How’d he rise out of the sea? And why is he singing in English when he lived centuries before it was even invented (correct me if I’m wrong on that point)?!

Allen: … wha?

Ren: you’ve been doing too many missions for the Order recently to have been here when she started her Hetalia streak, I take it?

Allen: … yeah, that must be it. Since when were -

Ed: it’s a long story. Heck, considering some of CCR’s fangirling I’m surprised that -

Ren: you were saying…? *points to Lithuania’s character nearby*

Toris (Lithuania from Hetalia – in my posts from now on he may be called Liet as well) : ?

CCR: since when did – are you working for Al (America) again?

Toris: not quite… I’m not even sure why I’m here.

CCR: wait… since I’m you in my friends’ Hetalia circle-thing, then that means…

*Somewhere in Camp Shadow Pines, more specifically in whatever part of Rae or E’s minds where Goku is being hidden*

“NII-SANNNNN!”

Goku (for future reference in case some might still be confused, we mean the Saiyuki Goku in almost all of my posts unless stated otherwise) : *nibbling on a piece of food from the camp cafeteria that Shana snuck to him* o.O um… Rae?

Ivan(Russia) : if you see a woman with long blond hair wearing a blue dress, please don’t tell her I’m here.

Goku: wha?

Ivan: or else.

Goku: o.o; I’m silent.

*Back at CCR’s house*

Ren: *reads above scene switch* what the… will Rae even allow that?

CCR: *shrug* but just in case they stay a while, you might want to show Liet-kun around the house while I follow Washu’s guide for installing another section into the Technically Nonexistent Room.

Jun: but extra sections add themselves, don’t they?

CCR: oh yeah, huh… Never mind then. Glad she installed that feature – this manual looks complicated and I do not have a number for the Masaki residence.

Toris: Masaki? Washu? Aren’t those from that one show that Kiku-san (Japan) created back in the ‘90s? Tenchi something or other?

CCR: Tenchi Muyo – they showed a probably edited version on one of our TV channels over here.

Now while I’m at it, might as well watch last week’s FMA episode too – third to last one I’ll be able to watch before I go to Japan, unless by some off chance I can catch two of the episodes I miss raw. Until next time, ja ne!

(NOTE: apologies to my myO readers for not uploading some of my recent posts here - for some reason my laptop wouldn't let me on myO at the time I was uploading those posts. But they're on my World if you're interested)

1/2... And Suffering from Nostalgia Even More Than I Did Yesterday
Seriously. Yesterday it might as well have been nigh unto a nervous breakdown. Today it’s not AS bad, but even more memories are coming up. Memories of the various “Golden Age” stages of mine and Yuna’s friendship, the two who along with me made up my previous “trio” back in 6th grade (Ashley and Margo)… Girls’ Camp in general. A LOT of Elementary school. Maybe I shouldn’t have gone to Shana’s 6th grade recognition ceremony (they insisted it wasn’t a graduation)… that dug up a lot of crap that, while pleasant, I DON’T WANT MY SCHOOL LIFE FLASHING BEFORE MY EYES YET! That won’t be until tomorrow night. ;D Or at least it shouldn’t be… right?

With all these swirling emotions, I can barely think straight. Seriously, is this normal?! Someone help me, I’m a lost, confuzzled high school graduate-to-be! And I’ve got to go to bed soon…

1...
Gah! This is nerve-racking! I’ve literally got half a day left of school, and after tomorrow I’m through. D: time is flying way too fast for me to catch up! ;A;

Ren: *rolls eyes* are you going to be this sentimental when it’s time to do your CAC-BYU transfer too?

CCR: depends. Heck, for all I know I might’ve found “the one” by then and decided on NAU or something instead. I hope not though – I’m not intending on marrying until I’ve finished school, not after what I’ve seen the price my mom had to pay for similar mistakes after the divorce. But you never know – if God has another plan for me, who am I to ignore that?

Ed: you know -

CCR: I know what you’re gonna say Edo-kun, and I don’t want to hear it.

My last full day as a high school student had its various ups and down. Marlee confirmed for the graduation party, and my French and English finals were easy as pie. Speaking of French… there was leftover cake and ice cream. With some strawberry soda later on. …. *lip quivers* I’m gonna miss high school. And the deal with Sereno’s retirement and everything, I supposed, made me realize that much as I complained about my French class in the third year, I’d miss that too. That doesn’t mean I’m gonna continue French in college, but you know… Nostalgia. And it sucks. BIG TIME. < (TT . TT) > And it’s worse with choir – today was my last day in Belle Chanson… Since Belle was 6th hour, and tomorrow’s only 1st period through 3rd period.

I’d ask for a cure, but I doubt there is any.

Goku: think of it this way – the school can’t tell you when you can and can’t eat anymore. :D

CCR: that would only be of comfort to me if I was as food-centered as you. By the way, you might wanna contact Hakkai soon and warn him about Rae…

Goku: warn him about what?

CCR: that she might strangle him for not coming around often enough.

… And I just kinda-sorta snapped at my brother for a simple request. This is driving me insane.

Help, please…?

2...
Tomorrow will be one, Wendesday will be ½… essentially it’s going to be a countdown to my last days of high school. Today was my last Monday. Tomorrow will be my last full day. Wednesday will be the last time I step on that campus for classes.

Ren: with the low rate of people commenting, I don’t think they care.

CCR: -.- keep in mind, ‘tis the season for finals. Maybe some of them are studying.

Ren: … and you’re not?

CCR: I review in class and do the study guides – that normally gets me through most of my tests. And for English there isn’t any studying to be done – our final is an in-class essay. I just have to review my French a bit tonight and again tomorrow and I’m good to go. We wrote the questions for that final, so unless someone decided to be a knave and write something exceptionally hard down and Sereno put it on there…

So to start off the day, I woke up with literally two to three minutes to throw some clothes on and run to the bus. My poor kitty didn’t eat until the afternoon because of it unless he caught a bird and ate that… ;A; forgive me for my drowsiness, Train-kun! Then I got to school, started drawing a birthday pic for Marlee (which I finished! >:D) … and some good news and bad news sprouted that morning. Ri-chan and Aro aren’t able to come to my graduation party, but thankfully Kyarri asked her mom one last time and she said YES! ^0^ And it looks like Marlee might be able to come too. So I have a good number of my best friends there (Yuna at the BFF spot, Rae, Kana, Tawny, and Kyarri)~ I also delivered teacher-gift-arts that I hadn’t delivered yet… all I have left to give is the copies of that America pic I drew (speaking on Hetalia terms, so I mean the character and not the country) for my US History teachers from last year, since NEITHER OF THEM WERE IN THEIR ROOMS AT LUNCH! I mean, I guess I can understand to some extent, since one is the advisor for Student Council, but the other… wah! .A. I gotta deliver those tomorrow or they don’t get delivered… WAIT! I just had an idea!

Ed: should we be worried?

CCR: nice. Real nice, Edo-kun.

Anyway, I just remembered, Andrew has one of them as his teacher… so if all else fails, I can ask him to deliver that one for me. The other I’ll just have to catch during a passing period where I’m near his classroom without risk of running late. Or on the way to lunch, since the French classroom isn’t all too far from his classroom at all. And if I can get there fast enough… >D

Zelgadiss: but then if you entrust the one to Andrew, then there’s a chance that he’ll forget or he’ll lose it.

CCR: that’s a good point you address. Guess that one will have to be hand-delivered too. Racing the clock and two history teachers, such is what I must do…

In other news, the “goodbye/happy retirement” party for Mme. S turned out well. The cheesecake that one of the guys made was good, we had root beer AND ice cream (floats anyone? :D), and on top of that a HUGE cake from Costco because someone’s mom in that class works in the bakery department. The only problem is that… well, Finding Nemo isn’t quite as funny in French as it is in English. Especially when they change Crush’s name to George. Yes, George. None of us saw the logic either.

Oh! And while everyone’s insisting that it’s not gonna rain on Thursday, weather man says we have a 20% chance of rain WITH isolated thunderstorms. Must the Class of 2009 suffer in the same way that the Class of 2008 did last year? Let’s hope not. After all, it’s a 20% chance – that’s not very big at all. The cloud cover would be kinda nice though… |3 AND Thursday’s gonna be the coolest day of the week.

I uploaded a few finale pages to Randomosity and went to Rae’s. Oh, the randomness that ensued…After we ate Shana and Talen just started going utterly crazy, singing songs left and right and deciding to write a story made up of whatever came to our minds – in which some guy named “W” predicted Robert Pattinson’s invading the “land where everything is dead,” L suspecting it’s Kira, and in the end… well, Michael Jackson turned out to be Kira and the montages just carried on from there. Sadly though, curfew’s 8 at my house, so I had to head home before I found out how the rest of the story went. I’ll have to ask Rae about that at lunch or in 3rd hour…

And such is my day in a nutshell. Until next time, ja ne~

So Long, Boring Ceremonies...
I wish. And with some stuff, Seminary graduation wasn’t even that boring. But GRADUATION graduation, that’s gonna be the kicker. It’ll likely be a drag… but then half the time I’ll be kept busy singing in the choir or picking up a fake diploma and throwing an ugly flat hat into the air, all in the end to just have my real diploma handed to me by… *drum roll* my Econ teacher, who’s the line leader for my little sector of the senior class. I think. Unless there are two “R. Johnsons” in the school (as it is the reason they resorted to first initials is because there’s another Johnson that teaches Biology).

Ed: you know you could’ve just done what Jiao’s doing and just pick up your diploma without going through the ceremony.

CCR: nuh-uh! My parents would kill me, my grandparents would kill me, and I’d be denied a valuable life experience! Graduation is a great milestone for those in American society. I don’t know if other countries do high school graduation ceremonies, but still… for those of us that do, it’s like a rite of passage. And on top of that, if they let Kyarri and I sign up for our classes in early July-ish (?) (because that’s about the only time in the summer months that both of us will be in the same country – Kya’s going to Germany sometime after I come back from my Japan-Thailand trip; we’ve both been admitted into the school already, just… I’m not sure if I got that scholarship or not), then I’ll be a first-gen college student.

So yeah, much of today consisted mainly of church, my interview (which turned out well – I’ll be presented with my Young Women Recognition Award this next Sunday if all goes well), and Seminary graduation. And, you know, my mom reading New Moon. Seriously, I think I’ve created a monster by pushing her into this fandom…

But, on another note, I think it might rain tonight or tomorrow.

Goku: but then what if it rains on Thurs -

CCR: NO! It’s NOT going to rain on Thursday like it did last year! I hear that was heck scrambling up a way to get them all out of the rain. And since we don’t have an auditorium big enough to handle graduation… yeah. It would be another half-in-the-auditorium half-in-the-cafeteria split graduation again. And parents will complain again about the auditorium not being able to support graduation ceremonies, and again the faculty will have to state that we don’t have a big enough auditorium because it hasn’t rained on that day in over 100 years, and generally we have to worry more about the students getting heat stroke in their caps and gowns than it raining on the football field…. And even the former is unlikely.

Ren: you need to stop listening to your teachers rant about this stuff. It’s sinking into you now.

CCR: I know, I know… just like the “oy vey” thing. Stuff rubs off on me.

o.O What the...?
My mom’s actually interested in reading New Moon after I had to practically force her to read Twilight at first. This is… odd. I’ve never been able to successfully drag my mom into any particular fandom before – now here she is, complaining about the cliffhanger in the New Moon preview at the back of my Twilight paperback, and telling my brother to read the book to fully enjoy it (since he just loves the movie to bits to the point of watching it nonstop – my mom and I both hate it).

Ren: what is this world coming to? The last thing we need is another Twilight-Mom.

CCR: as I do with the Twilight-haters at my school, I will ignore that. (Actually what I typically do is play the democratic neutral – understand there are valid points for the haters’ hate, and not act all fangirl about it when or if I do defend my Twilight fandom at all)

But the rest of my day mainly consisted of scanning the rest of those finale pages, the uploading of which I’m slowing down a tad bit so that I don’t get up the graduation pages before my graduation on Thursday, and hanging out at Rae’s house. I was dragged into a memorial service for a stray cat that died YEARS ago but Shana, Hana and Tasha still insisted on celebrating, fought over like a ragdoll as usual, and started as a middle-class citizen, became queen, and was overthrown and reduced to scum all in one day in a round of the card game Scum (also known to Furuba fans as Rich Man, Poor Man/ Dai Hin Min). And to top it all off I was made a liar in a round of BS. Stupid succession rule… that’s not how I played it as I remember! Or maybe I did, and I forgot… ^^; Seriously, the one thing I hate about that game is when I HAVE to cheat and put down one card saying it’s another. Oh, and I am once again up to date on the new FMA series! … crap, I’ve already got crap in between the keys of my laptop! And I take good care of this thing too!

Ed: it happens.

CCR: I know, I know… still, it bugs me. *attempts to gently remove the particles* What the heck? Why won’t this stupid hair come out?! Ah, there we go… green? *turns to Jun*

Jun: don’t look at me, I haven’t touched it.

CCR: then – oh, right… that wig. That stupid, atrocious, wig that I for some odd reason bought anyway despite the fact that it was from Wal-Mart guaranteeing that it was gonna be crap.

Eh, I’ve done what I can on that for now. And I’ve got to work on a birthday pic for someone. Until next time, ja ne!

EDIT: … can someone tell me if Tieria from Gundam 00 is a man or a woman? I’ve heard the pronoun “he” used for the character before, but now that I try to look up ref pics of “him,” I’m not so sure… some of these pics are a little iffy – and I don’t speak of fan art.
