Kin Youbi: Anniversaire
Translation for first part, Japanese to English: Friday. Translation for second part, French to English: technically it means “birthday,” but I think it refers to other forms of anniversaries, too.

So yeah, I’m all better now~! ^_^ I guess I just really needed a chill pill or a hug or something these past couple days. And fortunately the tom has yet to arrive. Maybe it wasn’t what I thought it was.

… I just noticed I think I might’ve made Yoh too short or otherwise proportionally off on my latest doujin page.

Ren: -_-; that was maybe a bit too random.

CCR: I know I know, but I mean my sketchbook’s right in front of me open to that page as I tinker with the text in Paint to get it prepped for Photoshop editing on the other comp later.

Ren: later? What happened to tonight?

CCR: can’t. Otherwise I be a zombie tomorrow morning, and I gotta get up even earlier than my normal school days. Dang, why did our leaders plan to leave for the combined 16-18 activity at 6 AM?!

Ed: from what I recall, they said the Peppersauce Caves are about an hour away from here. Guess they were planning for an early morning spot.

CCR: yeah, I get their reasoning. Still… And it just had to be planned on my parents’ fourth anniversary too.

Now normally the anniversary isn’t a big deal, but this year it is. My dad got his temple recommend recently, so he’s gonna be endowed and then he and my mom are gonna be sealed “for time and all eternity.” It’s funny how four years ago tomorrow I would’ve been throwing the biggest fit at that (and even now I’m a teeny tiny bit perturbed that this means at 18 I’ll have to be sealed to my dad as well as my mom to keep that family bond in the eternities). Yet now other than a few uncertainties I’m perfectly fine with it. I’m too young to attend the temple myself and see it happen (temple entry for young women is when they get married or serve a mission, whichever comes first)… they were planning a luncheon at Aunt Mary’s house afterwards! Anyone who’s read posts after a dinner at her place knows that Aunt Mary’s probably the second most awesome cook I know aside from my grandma.

Goku: you’re telling me… she’s amazing. And your grandma cooks? Then why do you guys always go out to eat when your grandparents are over here or when you visit them?

CCR: believe me, she’s perfectly capable, just she’s grown a tad lazy in her old age (and because of my grandpa’s former job at Warner Brothers, they’ve got enough money in their retirement to afford to be). But during the Colorado trip three years ago she would often make dinner herself. Other than her zucchini, it was all great. Fond memories those are.

Ren: that’s all fine and dandy about the food, but I highly doubt any of your readers aside from Refi would understand anything you said earlier about temples and sealings and eternity.

CCR: true. I’ll probably do a post on Ask a Mormon tomorrow after the caves on the temple and eternal marriage. And since I have to give a talk in church Sunday on the subject anyway, it’ll probably help me get that prepared.

Ed: more like you’ll probably just use the AaM entry almost directly in your talk since you still haven’t gotten started on it.

CCR: on that you’re probably right. I guess I got caught up in editing those doujin pages. I think as soon as I get the first six pages done up in Photoshop I’ll just draw up a cover real quick and start uploading it here, update the rest as I go…

And speaking of which, the time draweth night for me to go to bed (I probably should’ve been there already. ^^;) Until next time, ja ne!

Moku Youbi: Cynical
Translation for first part: Thursday.

Seriously, it’s like everyone’s been forcing shots full of pessimism and hard-faced reality into my bloodstream or something. Or it’s just getting really close to an edgy time for me, who knows?

But the last two days, I’ve been stressed/depressed/discouraged/trying to be “practical” the entire time, and I have no idea what’s gotten into me. Oh well, it’s a change from my usually perky/bubbly(?) self, right?

I guess now it’s a contest of if it’s a change for better, or for worse.

Geh, I won’t write more for now. I’ll just leave it as I’ve concluded I’m not ready for the “real world” yet and maybe my dad isn’t too far off when he says I’m a little girl in a woman’s body and I should get my head out of the clouds once in a while.

Ren: yet you said you wouldn’t write more.

CCR: I wasn’t planning on writing more, but then – gah! I sound emo enough already, and as it is I just declared a hiatus from deviantART that I don’t know if it’ll last for a year or two days. I shouldn’t burden my readers here (what few I have anyway) with the same thing. … Right?

So I better get going before my brother burns the house done with our old decrepit toaster (now on this one I’m serious – why hasn’t anyone replaced that old thing yet?! I can’t even use it because I’m so terrified of the thing!) Until next time, ja ne~!

Getsu Youbi: Holiday
Translation for first part: Monday

Or at least tomorrow is. I still don’t get why they have school Monday, then Veteran’s Day on Tuesday, and school the rest of the week. You’d think the teachers would give us a four-day weekend, but no-o~! Oh well.

Anyway, Friday we got all of our major drama llamas resolved. Anime club, everyone still holds the same office they did before within the cabinet, and the actual club meeting apart from the officer meeting went well; a fairytale ending there. Then first hour we watched much of the last part of Jason and the Argonauts (finished it today; they screwed up the ending, but for the better. Much better that they didn’t go into detail on the whole Medea mess ten years after the marriage and they didn’t have Pelias chopped up by his own daughters.), had our Cookie Friday in Seminary, reviewed for today’s test in Government (which I’m pretty sure I aced), and I’ll admit French was my favorite class of the day again that day. We spent the entire class period working on our door decoration for the competition the school was holding for its tenth anniversary; guess it was also since they were having alumni from years past and old staff coming in Friday after school for a “class reunion” –type deal. Kassi, a talented animal-artist in our class, drew the school mascot (a coyote) in a beret with a mustached moon in the background holding a croissant (I drew the croissant, though; nothing special really; but Kassi’s coyote and moon were epic). Everyone else who contributed did so in other ways; I, Kassi, and another person took a few of my colored pencils and colored the coyote, I did some of the shading on the moon and pawprints leading from where the coyote was standing down to the bottom of the paper, and someone else wrote “les coyotes” and “Leading Tracks in History.” Case and point, we won in the World Languages department. But then all we got (or rather Sereno) was a poster saying “10-year door decoration winner: Sereno.” Geez, they could’ve given Kassi some kind of prize or our class could’ve gotten a pizza party or something. But meh, who knows? Maybe that’s just a temporary thing student council came up with then. We took notes in Driver’s Ed and took quizzes in choir, this time each person chose a quiz to try and work on to get a better grade on it. And speaking of which, I now have a 100 on both the note name and key signature quizzes (key signatures was last week; passed it the first time around. The note name quiz I got ONE OFF the first time, and it was because I miscounted a ledger line). So every Friday in the semester unless everyone in our class gets all 100s before that I have free time until everyone finishes the quizzes. Yays! =D

Ren: … half of that paragraph you combined both Friday and today.

CCR: that was partially the point. Now I don’t have to type as much later on! ^_^

Ren: -_-;; that makes no sense.

CCR: neither does your hair.

Ren: I won’t comment on that.

CCR: back on topic for a moment…

Saturday, most notable thing I did was watch episodes 26 and 27 of Soul Eater and sleep in until noon (matter of fact I’m in the middle of watching ep. 28 right now). Hopefully with any luck I can get caught up at the very least by the time the raw for next week’s episode comes out.

Ren: you better not spend all day tomorrow catching up on Soul Eater or sleeping. Remember, you -

CCR: I’ve got plans with Kana and Rae, so I can’t sleep in even; I know that… unless they do.

Ed: Rae’s got a lot of siblings though, and from what she says about their kitten…

CCR: true. And I don’t know Kana’s non-school-week sleeping habits. So even if it’s a trip to the mall plus their plot to have me watch The Sound of Music or just the latter, I’ve got plans tomorrow. Better than not having any plans at all and lazing around all day, though. Geh, I still can’t get why it takes so long for things like videos to load on this computer.

Ed: it’s called slow Internet.

CCR: yep, sounds like the most likely cause. … Kyah! Angela’s so cute, even if she’ll probably become an ebil witch when she gets older. <3 So, what to talk about until more of the episode has loaded… or I could just end this post, one or the other. Meh, might as well the latter. Not like anything really eventful happened Sunday and I covered Monday already. So until next time, ja ne!

Moku Youbi: Drama Llama, Leave me Alone!
Translation for first part: Thursday

Seriously. First there were the elections and some issues with Yuna on Tuesday night (Obama better not screw up… -.-; no offense to those who support him), then today there was some friction among the officers of the anime club, to the point where I’m not looking forward to tomorrow. And considering tomorrow’s Friday, that’s a shocker in and of itself. It’s not necessarily the whole day I’m worried about so much as the first fifteen minutes of it… emergency officer meetings, especially when they’re like this, are ALWAYS a pain. *tries to shoo the drama llama away, at least temporarily*

On top of that, the ranks of all three of my worlds seem to be fluctuating a bit. Originally, this world (ooh, shiny…) was ranked at 20. Then later it went down to 29. Then yesterday it was at 21, and now it’s 32. *shrug* ah well, not like it matters much anyway.

In other news, Tuesday I didn’t post because of comp issues, yesterday was because I spent too much time trying to catch up on Soul Eater, but my Interwebs was being bipolar and would constantly disconnect and re-connect at the most inconvenient times. This, I feel, will be an effort that’s gonna take a good week or so, depending on homework load. But then Tuesday wasn’t that eventful anyway, except I discovered a cosplay magazine that is supposedly commencing publication here in the US (or at least it has one issue that it’s printing and doing the rest online. Oh, I hope not!). Cosmode USA is probably one of the best magazines I’ve seen for this kind of thing so far. They have PATTERNS! *_*

Ren: _ ^ _; can you stop fangirling for one minute at least?

CCR: oh, sure. Why?

Ren: so you can actually continue the post?

CCR: but all that’s been going on this week is a bunch of the typical high school drama, and the elections only make that worse. What is there to post about? Because I am certainly not going into detail on my political opinions here or on some of the crap going on right now. But I do know what’ll make me feel better… *evil grin*

Ren: why do I have a feeling this is going to be embarrassing beyond belief?

CCR: not necessarily… could be. *snaps fingers* oh right! I forgot I have to get the last couple things together for my Aerith cosplay tomorrow (Kyarri’s birthday party, one of the upsides of tomorrow even if it’s in the evening, is a cosplay party. Since she’s gonna be Tifa and Ri’s gonna be Yuffie, I thought I’d contribute to the group by using one of my church dresses that matches somewhat with Aerith’s… Not by much though, but you can’t tell it’s pink-and-white-striped at a distance. And the skirt part adds a bit more of a feminine touch anyway. And I have a red jacket-like thing that’ll work for the time being too until I can make one myself, if I even make it)! Let’s see what I need… I’ve got the jacket (kind of), a dress that’ll work for the intended purpose at least, braiding my hair shouldn’t be too hard, and the boots I can manage. I just gotta get a pink ribbon for the braid and I’m set!

Ren: again with the cosplay…

Ed: hey, it could be worse. She could be planning on doing a humorous photoshoot in her cosplay of you.

CCR: if only I had a willing photographer to cooperate with me on that, that’s all I can say. Plus I think if I can get a pattern I might re-make that costume from scratch. Currently I have a maroon top that I’ve been using with black pants, but I’m thinking of making the black and yellow outfit (not the school uniform. Heavens no, anything but that ugly yellow school uniform). My grandma says that the pattern is complicated and the fabric expensive, but who said I had to use the Chinese fabric? Much as it would be kinda cool, my grandma’s right; it’s expensive and I don’t think I could muster up the confidence to try and sew a thing like that together. Also, it’s hard to find a fabric of that nature that’s all black, since most black Chinese fabrics that I find here have red or gold designs… And I do most of my sewing by hand for fear of royally screwing up on a sewing machine. Regular, basic cotton should do the trick. But how to go about getting the collar to stand up… and if I have that wide open part on the chest, should I – … I’m rambling, aren’t I?

Allen: more like vocally brainstorming.

CCR: gah! *turns to the readers* forgive me for that blurb. Guess I had to get my ideas down somewhere… ^^; and who knows, someone might find my ideas useful in their own cosplay endeavors.

Ren: I think you’re just getting too much into this whole mess.

CCR: mess? I didn’t even mention the drama llama.

Ren: I meant the mess as in cosplay. You’re getting too much into it.

CCR: … you just don’t want me doing humorous home photoshoots, do you?

Ren: if they involve me, no. Go right ahead if it’s Fullmetal you’re going to humiliate.

Ed: WHAT WAS THAT?!

CCR: oh yeah, I probably ought to improve my Ed cosplay, too… maybe remake the auto – better idea, I’m gonna end this post before I go off a rambling again and end up staying up too late. Until next time, ja ne!

Getsu Youbi: Inochi wa Subarashii
Translation – Monday: Life is Wonderful (not entirely positive on last part)

I just gotta keep remembering that no matter who wins the election… ‘cause if Obama wins, it might be the only thing keeping me from moving to Canada (and I know I can’t entirely escape the influence of a US president on the rest of the world, but I can certainly try).

Ren: funny that you’re talking about politics before this whole issue has even been decided for one, and second, several of your readers aren’t even American.

CCR: I get that, but still… Gah, must be all the political talk getting to my head. And the frustration as to the fact that I’m five months too young to the day to have a say in what’s gonna affect the next four years of my life…. Possibly even eight.

Other than that, today was fairly good. Got another drawing started that I may or may not upload here as well as dA (it’s an original character, meaning people are more likely to push it off unless it’s epicly amazing… which I doubt it will be by the time it’s finished. I have such low self-esteem. |D ). And I owe the school cafeteria a quarter for lunch today, even though I’m not even gonna eat lunch tomorrow! (family’s fasting for prop 102 to get passed)

Ed: and I thought your church didn’t get that adamant about politics…

CCR: normally we don’t necessarily tell people how to vote and leave it to agency. But when it comes to a moral issue like prop 102, we at least encourage people to vote according to church standards. And I can’t vote yet, so… wait! Maybe that’s how – never mind, I’ve gotta stop talking about politics here. Edo-kun, if I talk about politics at any time throughout the rest of this post, smack me -

Ed: won’t do that.

CCR: then remind me of my self-promise, at least.

But yeah… actually, was there much else? Let me think… Dang. My days have been a bit too boring of late.

Goku: of course, you spend most of it at school.

CCR: well I assume traveling in a jeep with a “pervy kappa” as you call Gojyo and Sanzo constantly threatening to kill you both if you don’t shut up, with Hakkai stuck in the middle… wait, scratch that. You guys have at least something to do other than learn.

Oh! And speaking of learning, I made a realization on why Disney movies (and nearly every other movie out there) are getting kind of old now… all their movies follow the Hero’s Journey formula almost to a “T”! Just they gotta squash it into an hour and a half to two hours, so they have to only work with the basics and a raw plot! No wonder Hollywood’s full of P.O.S’s as my grandpa calls them! (I’ll leave the P.O.S abbreviation up to interpretation)

… Gah, something needs to HAPPEN! And preferably something not-bad. Ah well, in all but two days I’ll have plenty of ranting to do if things go one way, not so much if they go another. Until next time, ja ne!

EDIT: and with one comment my faith in the people of deviantART has been restored… somewhat. Just gotta avoid the flamers for a while. >.>;

Nichi Youbi: of Home-Made Pumpkin Pie
Translation for first part: Sunday

Yep, you heard me right. Home-Made pumpkin pie. As soon as Mom gets home she’ll probably start working on it (right now the pumpkin just finished boiling and I’ve been letting it cool for a bit; looks like we’ve got enough for two pies even).

Goku: it isn’t going to be as bland as that home-made apple pie she made a while back, is it…?

CCR: keep in mind that was mostly crust plus the apples didn’t have any sugar in them, so it tasted a bit bland. The home-made pumpkin pie should be awesome, though! *_* and don’t go eating it all, got it? We’ve got company over tonight.

Allen: but I thought that Sunday was family night.

CCR: it pretty much is, when both my parents are home at least. And Mom invited her study-partner from math over (even though she’s only a year older than me), supposedly because she wants my mom to set her up with Robbie, who’s also coming over tonight.

Ren: oh, like that’s gonna work. He’s been down for years because his last girl dumped him. At this rate I wouldn’t be surprised if he went -

CCR: do not mention the possibility of a brother of mine, blood-related or step, going gay. I have nothing against gay people (heck, two of my friends are dating each other and they’re both girls), but one of my own kin being a homosexual… it would be too awkward.

*door knocks, her brother answers it and Robbie walks into the door*

Speak of the devil… Seriously though, Mom’s been gone for a while. And now she and Dad are back. That means – PUMPKIN PIE! =D

*Hours Later*

Well that was some GOOD pie! Even if Mom accidentally put in some of the canned stuff along with the pumpkin and we had so much extra left over that we have a whole thing of pumpkin custard ready to eat, but it was still great. Far better than the apple pie incident.

So for what happened with my day. Got up, took a shower, ate cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we were off to church for the stake conference. After we got back, I took a nap until about 1:30 or 2 because Mom wanted me to make sure the pumpkin didn’t boil dry and burn down the house while she went to visit a friend of ours. So I did so, then Robbie and Sarah (Mom’s study partner) each showed up for dinner. Overall, it was a good night. Good food, good company, usual brother-squabbling… and I’m still in a semi-artist’s block since this afternoon. Geh.

Ren: not only that, but you’re still behind on Soul Eater.

CCR: I know that! I’m gonna have to find time to get that done either this week or the weekend. Maybe not next weekend… Kana and Rae as far as I know are plotting to compel me to watch The Sound of Music one of these days (I’ve never seen it, thus making me a “sinner” in the eyes of a vast majority of my choir group and Kana and Rae). They didn’t get me this weekend, so it’ll probably be next.

And now the rest of the family, Sarah included but not Robbie since he was called by his mom to get back to her house right then and there, is watching The Game Plan since Sarah’s never seen it and apparently everyone’s acting like there’s all the time in the world.

… … … … Wait. Did I just hear Dad say he’s gonna make egg nog? Oh no.

Ren: what happened to egg nog being your “crack”?

CCR: I know, but I’ve tried Dad’s home-made egg nog before… it wasn’t pretty.

Ren: by the way, why aren’t you watching the movie with them?

CCR: I’ve got stuff to do~! And Mom and I have to get back to our workout schedule starting tomorrow, we’ve been off it all week! And I’m not always so consistent with my evening walks anymore, sadly. I’ve really got to keep up with that again.

So yeah, that’s all for today. Kinda boring, I know, and I apologize. But hey, not every day can be an adventure, ne? Until next time, matta ne!

Do Youbi: For the Love of Roasted Turkey...
Translation for first part: Saturday

Why am I already psyched and ready for the Holidays when Halloween just barely came to a close?!

Ren: do I need to list the reasons?

CCR: Nah, there’s no need to do that.

But of course, choir is a major contribution to that, due to our next concert’s subject matter. There is, however, another contributor to this madness… and that, my friend, is the flourishing American supermarket franchise we all know and not-exactly love, Wal-Mart.

We went there earlier today to get some food for tomorrow night’s dinner, and my goodness… they’re already playing some Holiday tunes in parts of the store, their Nativities and decorations are already out on the shelves, a Christmas tree display stands at the front of the store. And best (maybe worst) of all…

They have Egg Nog in stock.

For those who have met me before this Holiday season and may not know, egg nog is like my crack in the winter time! The rich, creamy flavor, the fact that it’s technically a dairy product and thus can give me a good source of calcium to make me feel better about the fact of how fattening it is… And Dad almost bought some today, but it’s like over 4 bucks for a half gallon. Cheapskate Wal-Mart people. If I don’t get at least one glass of egg nog this year because of their stupid “low” prices, I’m boycotting their products all next year!

Ed: considering your parents shop there all the time and I doubt they’d be willing to go with it or let you participate in such, that’s kind of impossible.

CCR: oh… right. DANG IT!

In other news, we ended up not cleaning house all day after all. Instead, we were out eating breakfast at almost noon, looking for a ceramics shop that teaches lessons so I can get my Nativity done for my Young Womens’ Medallion (it’s the last thing I have to do… one more project and I’m DONE! … Maybe I should’ve picked a different project.), and that Wal-Mart trip. Mom and Dad went with my brother to Costco too, but first thing I got home I was exhausted and took a nap, even after having slept in until 9:30 am.

Ren: the fact that your dad kept you up until past midnight with dragging you along to pick up your brother from his friend’s house and talking might have contributed to that, you know.

CCR: yeah, and all that walking we did last night… And that blister. Stupid boots…

So now my parents are out for something church-related and I have no idea when we have to be up for church tomorrow since it’s Stake Conference (different from General Conference). I think our session starts at 11, though. Yay for sleeping in on Sunday without missing church~! =D First time I’ve been able to do that since we had that schedule change to 8 am for regular Sunday meetings.

But anyway, since I don’t have much else to say, just a quick notification that I’ll likely be changing the site theme/background soon. Not sure if I’m gonna do Thanksgiving first or go straight for a Christmas-y theme, but either one is likely. And now that I’m officially done with this… I’m off to try and catch an episode of Soul Eater before - *looks at the computer clock* never mind; I’m gonna sleep in, but at the same time I still gotta get up early enough to take a shower before I can’t for the fear of the septic tank exploding. Until next time, ja ne!

Moku Youbi: This is Halloween
Translation for first part: Thursday

Or at least tomorrow it’ll be that way. Anyway, my parents are gonna be home around 8-ish tonight, and I gotta go over to Rae’s house to help Shana with her Hao cosplay, therefore I need to make this quick and also submit this week and last week’s Randomosity a day early.

Mythology – we’re almost done with Clash of the Titans. Dang, it’s been so long since I’ve seen that movie that I forgot one redeeming quality thereof: Bubo (the robot-like clone of Athena’s owl in the movie). If only the Kraken didn’t kill it… Y^Y.

Seminary – Brother Goss is back! =D

Government – Finished Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. I never thought I’d be so happy to see a character go psycho like Senator Paine did at the end of that movie… wait, no, Azula’s spurt of insanity in the Avatar finale was also a good moment, but more humorous to me.

French – easy day~! Watched a couple episodes of this little show that comes with the high school French III text book instead of the Mise en Train. And a couple of funny French commercials that they include on the disks.

Lunch – had a fun time discussing how I said I was going to nail my brother’s butt to the floor if the dishes weren’t done when I got home. They were, so no butt-nailing for me or Kyarri, who so gladly obliged to help. XD;

Driver’s Ed: watched a video on car maintenance since it was kind of a lax day there too, and I had finished my worksheets. Actually, I mostly ignored the video and worked on another goddess-type character that I’m going to incorporate in my original Hero’s Journey writing project.

Ren: you actually enjoy doing those projects, don’t you?

CCR: *nod nod* anything where I get to use my own creative prowess is more of a fun activity to me than an urgent assignment.

Ren: speaking of things being urgent…

CCR: I know, I know! I’m finishing this up with that quote from choir (and the bus) and then I’m outta here!

So we were practicing one of our songs, “Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music. After our run-through, Medlock asked who in the class hadn’t seen The Sound of Music. I along with a few people raised my hand… including Reuben, our exchange student from Germany. Ali (pronounced “Alley”), who’s basically one of the people who’s really avid in the choirs and our choir council president, shouted out, “What?! You SINNERS! And REUBEN?!” Poor Reuben ducked and put his score over his head in fear. But then I told Kana and Rae that I’ve never seen it, and they kinda had that shocked expression about them too. Their response: “YOU’VE NEVER SEEN THE SOUND OF MUSIC?! That’s it, we’re dragging you to one of our houses this weekend and we’re making you watch it!” And then the both of them went into an anti-Rolf rant like no tomorrow.

Ed: if you’ve never seen the movie, then how do you know the name of that character?

CCR: I read a book in my 7th grade English class that discussed a stage production of The Sound of Music in its plot, and the main character was Rolf.

Anyway, as it is I’ve a feeling Shana’s gonna call me again. Until next time, ja ne!

Sui Youbi: I’ve Really Gotta Stop Waiting Until the Last Minute to get my Cosplay Ideas.
Translation for first part: Wednesday

Ren: you’ve been doing that for a couple of months now; you should know the days of the week by now.

CCR: this is so I don’t forget. ^^

But still, seriously! From the time I got home until maybe 7 almost I spent working on a last-minute prop for my Allen cosplay! I could’ve been maybe taking a nap during some of that time! Ah well, it’s still worth it… ‘cause now I have a Timcampy! =D I made him from a tennis ball, a wire hanger, yellow cloth and a crumpled up piece of yellow paper for the end of the tail, so it looks far from professional (the wings = epic fail, I’m afraid). But I did it. I proved to myself that I could do it.

The rest of the day was more of the same stuff. We finished our writing assignment in French, another sub in Seminary (hopefully Brother Goss is better tomorrow, or a good chunk of the choir can’t get the Seminary part of the grade check sheet signed), watched more of Clash of the Titans (btw, totally agree with you there Kyarri; Hercules definitely pwns Clash of the Titans) and Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, and then after I finished putting Timcampy together here at home… I cleaned the bathroom.

Turns out Mom’s not coming back until Friday with Dad. Meaning if I don’t have the house, especially the master bathroom, spotless before they get home, I’m gonna have to face the embarrassment of being yelled at by him in front of a friend. We’ve just got horrible Halloween timing this year, minus the fact that it’s a Friday meaning we don’t have to go to school and act sane again until a few days have passed.

Allen: speaking of which, your dad wasn’t serious when he said…

CCR: I’m pretty sure he was serious about the “cleaning party” on Saturday. Even more motivation for me to bust my tail to do whatever the boys aren’t doing to clean the house before he gets home. He’ll still think it isn’t good enough, but meh.

Ren: and you wanted to get to bed at a decent time tonight…?

CCR: yeah, why?

Ren: it’s 8:45. And why are you drinking Sprite?! That’ll keep you up even longer!

CCR: oh… didn’t think of that. It was just something cold to drink in the fridge other than milk.

Ren: the milk would’ve been better for you at least.

CCR: but the calories…!

Ren: if you were that concerned about it, you should’ve gotten water then.

CCR: there wasn’t any cold water in the fridge, and I don’t like the taste of the water from the tap…

Ed: at this rate this post isn’t gonna end if they keep up like this, so I’ll end it. Until the next time CCR posts, we’re out.

Ka Youbi: VICTORY!
Translation for first part: Tuesday

So, Mom ditched us and went to visit Dad for a day or so (my stepdad, not the Prince of Darkness as I tend to call my biological father). But the good news is, she got a wig! =D It’s technically kind of in a bob style, but it’s supposedly professional quality and it appears it’ll work. That’s the last time I ever go to Spirit for wigs, though. From now on I’m sticking with Bubbles of Joy or the Interwebs.

Other than that, same old same old. Finished what technically was supposed to be last week’s Randomosity, so I gotta get that up soon, and we’re almost done with Mr. Smith Goes to Washington according to Mr. Johnson. But in Mythology, we’ve started watching Clash of the Titans. Teachers just enjoy making us watch movies and actually making us think in the process. Still, Mr. Best said we’re gonna be watching a lot of videos in the Hero’s Journey unit…. Wonder if one of those is gonna be the Disney version of Hercules?

Ren: NO. After sitting through it once with you, Rae and her brother, no.

CCR: why not? Sure, it melts your brain practically, but that’s typical of anything Disney after you’ve reached a certain age. The nostalgia of it and the rest of those movies gives it a high rewatch value though.

Ren: still… just no.

CCR: ah well, I’m pretty sure he isn’t gonna make us watch that one. Besides, their depiction of the Titans was horrendously inaccurate. But then so was everything else about that movie, considering the timeline. They had references to Jason and the Argonauts, Orpheus, and the Illiad! When from some of what Homer wrote in the Oddyssey, I’m pretty positive Achilles came AFTER Heracles (Greek spelling of Hercules).

Goku: are you done?

CCR: not necessarily. Why?

Goku: you said you’d start up the egg rolls ages ago…!

CCR: -_-; those are for Andrew’s friend, not you. Still, bribing him with egg rolls to get help/tutoring for his math test tomorrow is pretty –

And supposedly someone in the JROTC donated about 500 books to the anime club! ^^ Now to just remember that so I can address that in the officer meeting on Thursday… But yeah, I do still have to get those egg rolls done. And I’ll probably make some for myself while I’m at it; it’s about that time of day.

Ren: it’s only 4:30 in the afternoon.

CCR: it’s Tuesday. I always eat early on Tuesday because that’s the day we have mutual, which starts at 7. And since we have Evening of Excellence and I’m singing during the opening exercises thereof (as in part of a group, not just singing a hymn with the congregation), I’m assuming Rae and I have to be there early.

So the rest of the day… In Seminary we had a substitute, French we started a dumb district-required writing assignment (more like school-required, but meh), and Driver’s Ed… Let’s just say I don’t like my classmates very much right now. They were so chatty at the start of class, he made an assignment normally due Thursday due tomorrow. I finished it in time, but still… and then we have TWO simulators today, one of them being today. That also upset me a bit (it marked me for speeding when I was BARELY TOUCHING THE ACCELERATOR!). Ah well, live and let live.

Ren: speaking of school, the choir regionals…

CCR: I know, I’ve gotta practice my solo and get the music to my accompanist. I’ll probably have to get it to her through her little sister, since she’s graduated and usually goes to the singles ward.

Ren: and your key signature quiz on Friday?

CCR: I’ve finally got the flats down, so I just gotta hope he isn’t testing us on the minor key signatures as well as the major ones, because half of my flash cards appear to be lost before I even touched them. And I don’t know the rule/pattern for those.

Anyway, I’ve got some egg rolls to eat and dogs to feed before 6 pm (practice starts at 6:30; I hope Rae got the call too.) Until I get home from mutual, ja ne!

Time: 8:51 pm

Well, mutual went pretty well. Some of the leaders addressed us, we sang, and so on and so forth… typical Evening of Excellence, except it was in the chapel this year when we normally have it in the cultural hall/gym. But then maybe another ward was using that room tonight, who knows. And our house has mice again. Nice.

Ren: … that’s it?

CCR: well there wasn’t much else that went on tonight, unless I were to mention the two stray kittens that Rae and her siblings found… and what is that thing in the middle of the floor?

Ren: what thing?

CCR: that blackish-brown thing that looks like someone threw back up one of the brownies they served after mutual tonight…. That’s it, I’m getting a closer look. *walks over to the thing and pokes it with the tip of her shoe* … it looks like a piece of meat. *shrug* well, weird things are weird.
