Starlight Express, Starlight Express...
Oh gosh, the stuff I put on my mp3 player. *song switches to Ryuuro (Ren’s character song)*.

Great, how ironic is that?

Ren: you already posted about the spoilers on LiveJournal. I’m begging you, don’t talk about them here!

CCR: what spoilers? I didn’t read any of the super-spoilerish stuff in those dA journals (except the Kororo thing), I just saw the Visionz pictures.

Ren: which is bad enough – it gets you speculating! Which you can’t do yet until you’ve finished the series up until the Kanzenban ending point!

CCR: I know, I know… dang, I am tempted to just read the series online now. Would make things somewhat easier on me. But then I’d be tempted to stop buying the legal US translation volumes, so that’s not an option. I figured when I realized at what slow a pace it was being translated I’d be reading Mankin well into my college years or even later anyway before Viz caught up.

Ren: though knowing you you’ll buy as many of the Kanzenban volumes while at AniZona or when you go to Japan as you can get a hold of. Then it really won’t matter – I doubt you’d just buy them for the covers and not even bother to flip through them.

CCR: true…

Ed: -___- Ren…

Ren: what is it now, shrimp-metal?

Ed: WHAT DID YOU JUST -

Ren: *stuffs a leak into his mouth* (think Furuba, Yuki vs. Kyo – I know it’s likely spelled with two “e”s, but Word doesn’t like me today) you were saying…?

Ed: *spits it out* How the CRAP do you explain this?! *holds up one of CCR’s sketchbooks – the special one that only her most trusted friends are allowed to view generally – just fan-girl stuff, nothing dirty*

Ren: ask her. *points to CCR*

CCR: -/////- what… were you doing… with that sketchbook?!

Ed: o.o uh…

Ren: Kana and Rae were looking at that at lunch. Why the heck are you bringing it up now?

Ed: freakin’ Navy people crawling all over the place… (CCR: they were doing a parachuting presentation at our school today and stuff at lunch)

Zelgadis: since when did you fear the US Navy?

Ed: pervious fangirl was a Navy brat; her dad was of high standing, didn’t approve of the whole “Fangirl” concept. That’s all you need to know.

CCR: ano… can I continue with this post please?

Ren: nothing was really stopping you from doing that before.

CCR: okay, then.

Just another school day, really. Panicked about the French test tomorrow, but I figure if I pray desperately I’ll be able to get it. Finished up the drawing that Ed was freaking out over earlier, fifth hour our English teacher was nice enough to let the class go see the parachute freefall demonstration (which only took about fifteen minutes), and… Dictation’s starting in choir again. Gah, how I hate dictation. Ah well. And I’ve already got the next solo part I’m gonna try for learned (which I really hope I get, since in that same song Kyarri’s gonna be doing the optional flute accompaniment). Yet somehow I don’t know if I can manage getting a second solo. Josh almost did with Marchin’ On Up, but then Mr. Jeff chose me of all people. I guess it all depends on my competition for this one. And since there’s both a male and female solo part, it’s only the girls I have to deal with.

On that note, The Ballad of Sweeney Todd freaks me out every time we sing it. Which is partially a good thing – I can get into the character necessary for performing the song easily. But then there are some INSANE high notes in that puppy that I’m pretty positive are optional. I know few sopranos even who can hit those. And the spoken ending of the Laughing Song (just a simple “ha ha!”) makes me want to do the Don Kannonji thing from Bleach (we all know the one), but then Mr. Jeff may kill me if I did that at the concert. Unless I got everyone doing it… there are enough otaku in Belle Chanson, or at least enough familiar with Bleach that might catch on. The Sparks Fly Upward… it’s got some cool chords in it, but it sounds a tad odd to my ears.

Before this whole post turns into a choir rant, I guess I better take my leave. Until next time, ja ne!

A Midnight Spring Sleepover
This time, at Kana’s. Because we can.

Ren: still don’t get why you brought your laptop.

CCR: also because I can.

SV(Rae): And because it gave me a chance to corrupt- I mean, er, take a chance at trying CCR’s tablet. (yeah, that’s right… hehe… ^^;)

CCR: as did Tawny, and likely if Kyarri – wait, Kyarri’s been in contact with my laptop before. Yet she’s never been interested in using the tablet.

SV: …so she doesn’t have our “insane compy-loving artists” gene… in that category anyway. Besides, maybe she hasn’t really thought about it yet…

CCR: probably. Last time she was over was the night before ComiCon… and then she just wanted to watch Soul Eater after we got back, before her mom picked her up anyway. *glances to her left and sees SV signing with Kana* I should’ve taken Sign Language instead of French.

Ed: would’ve been a heck of a lot more useful.

SV: *looks at Ed blankly* Yeah, right. The only time you can ever use sign language is when you are “speaking” to someone who knows it. …then again it is quite useful for trying to talk to someone across the room in a large crowd… like assemblies. >D

Ren: but then you can only speak French to a French-speaking person. They’re even rarer here than sign-“speaking” people.

SV: Yes, but you can just go to France where there’s a whole SLEW of French-speaking people. Us signers are harder to get in contact with. Unless there’s some hidden land of “Sign-ica” somewhere, you have to hunt a bit to find an area where people know how to sign.

CCR: true, true. *yawns slightly* yeah, I’m not quite so cut out for all-nighters anymore. But I WILL NOT BE THE FIRST TO FALL ASLEEP! Not this time, anyway…

SV: …I wouldn’t count on it hon. ^^; The two of us have more siblings than you have people in your family (Woah, I totally just realized that. O____O) so we are a bit more used to the “not-really-all-night-all-nighters” of some sort. We are just programmed that way. XD;

CCR: another valid point… You know what, maybe we should stop this for now. ^^; I still need to check my dA. If those messages pile up… well, you know what happens Rae.

SV: -_-; All too well. *shudders* two hundred messages at once… Ah well, it would be for the better if we did though. If we continue, I might go into “stating-the-obvious” mode… I don’t even know what that really means honestly.

Concert Night
Well, judging by my classmates’ reaction to my solo in our rehearsal in 6th hour, I guess I do have the performance part down. I just gotta think like Josh: get into the music, acknowledge the audience of course (well, that’s more Mr. Jeff’s concert-performance-doctrine), and MOVE! So case and point, I’m feeling really good about myself right now – no one can stop me, ‘cause I’ve got the Lord on my side!

Ren: wha -

CCR: just giving credit where credit is due. I did pray this morning and at lunch that I’d have the confidence to perform well on my solo and the rest of our concert pieces; so far I guess they’ve been answered.

Other than that, not much really has happened today so far. Of course I’ve still got the concert tonight, but Mr. Jeff said it’ll likely be a 2-hour concert at least due to regional soloists strutting their stuff between choirs, and our guest choir, Dr. Glenn Bennet’s Cantilena of MCC. While all of our choirs are singing four songs (Dolce almost got a fifth piece, but then Mr. Jeff took AIMS into account… -^-), Cantilena’s singing about five or six, I believe. Gah, my finger feels naked without my CTR ring on. I wouldn’t have taken it off in the first place, but I learned a long time ago (if 9th grade can be considered “a long time ago”) that you do not wear shiny jewelry or accessories on stage! My CTR ring’s just a basic sterling silver ring, but even that could reflect some unwanted glare. I’m not even wearing my watch this concert because it’s got too many rhinestones on it. It may be pretty to look at up close, but at a distance it might be blinding – and the audience is there to watch us sing, not look at the pretty rainbow effects of our diamonds or whatever.

However, right now I am hungry and Kana’s family could be picking me up any minute (the three of us are carpooling because Mom’s working tonight and Rae’s brother has an orchestra concert at Fremont at the same time as our concert; it’s 4:47 now and call time is at 6:00 SHARP, not a second later). So until next time, ja ne!

Marco. Must. DIE!
And of course I refer to the Marco from Shaman King. Still, that freakin’ no good hypocritical… GRAH! Heck, I’d just barely gotten over his comment in… oh, what was it? 18? 19? The one where he says Yoh was never fit to be the Shaman King! And now he tries to get Jeanne to – argh. It’s too bad that Mom’s working tomorrow and I have the choir concert tomorrow… and the fact that I don’t have my license.

Ren: you know there’s -

CCR: yes, I know about Mankin Trad. But I’d rather not use that if at all possible. I’d rather wait to purchase a legal translated copy… and it comes out tomorrow. But I can’t get it tomorrow! Okay, calm down…

Now that I’m back to my normal self (kinda; man, I gotta get out of this funk before the concert tomorrow – I still gotta figure out how I’m gonna act energetic enough for my solo! At this rate I feel like I epically fail in the performance category. See, that’s why Josh should’ve gotten the part! He’s a fantastic singer AND he’s freakin’ insane to boot (if you knew him, you’d know what I mean) He almost OVERDOES the performance aspect of choral singing! As for me, I don’t seem to perform well enough no matter what I do.

Ren: don’t make me go and look up those chapters…

CCR: no, not yet! I’ll find some other way to get motivated/get past my – wait… I haven’t seen Soul Eater 45 yet. *glances at web browser*

Ed: it’s almost half past 8.

CCR: missionary week’s over.

Ed: doesn’t change the fact that you still gotta be up for school in the morning.

CCR: c’est vrai, c’est vrai (that’s true, that’s true). Still…

Allen: doodle yourself beating the crap out of Marco, or Gluttony eating him again.

CCR: I’ve already done the Gluttony thing once, and I did doodle that – with Rae stabbing him. If I had more time, I would’ve included her request of drawing her dissecting him Stein-style. Dang, I gotta calm down big time. Well, there is a new Epiphany chapter sitting in my dA deviation box (Epiphany is an original story by deviantART’s MadMaddie; very good – interesting plot, great setting, amusing characters [especially Rokuro]). But then Epiphany chapters can be kinda lengthy… but then Vayu – and – okay, breathe in, breathe out.

Oh, but regarding events of the day…

Morning before school – read most of volume 20 there in that one sitting; Kyarri got freaked out over the Giant Oni (demon) calling Anna “Mommy;” and I think we’re all at this point wanting to kill Marco – and the others kinda want to smack Ren upside the head for the last page of the volume, too. (SPOILER)Dude, since when did he go suicidal? (don’t answer that, I know the answer and understand – I say the suicidal thing in JOKING. Still kinda frustrates me though; scared the crap outta me when I first saw it.)(ENDSPOILER)

Econ – finished watching Tucker, did the assignment related to it, and read the rest of 20… where, actually, to some extent I was almost kinda glad that Ren hasn’t technically been revived yet. Otherwise my fangirling would’ve drawn a lot of attention my way. But then it ALMOST could’ve been worse, what with the aforementioned last-page stunt.

Seminary – set our monthly goal and graded ourselves for Missionary Week. Out of 75 normal points possible (not including extra credit points), I got 79… but that was with a bit of extra credit. Then we set our class goal, and concluded we do get cookie Friday this month! ^^ to contribute, I might make monkey bread Thursday night to bring in.

Choir – 3rd hour - the school day before and the school day of the concert, we do our rehearsals on stage, so we can get our standing arrangement in order. Mr. Jeff said we needed to perform a bit better rather than just sing, but other than that Dolce’s doing some pretty good things – at least according to him.

Choir – 6th hour – as for Belle, either we were just not at our best today or he was in a foul mood by the time he got to us. Luckily our concert standing arrangement put me at the front so I can get to the mic easier for my solo.

French – worked on a group dialogue/RP that I think we’re gonna be presenting in a couple of days. Jaio (the guy who sits next to me) left to do his cafeteria work, and then the girl who sits behind me (forgive me for not remembering her name!) said the weirdest and freakiest thing: “I think he’s secretly in love with you.” O_o

Ren: he’s WHAT?!

CCR: that was her opinion, not fact. I hope it’s not fact, at least. *shudder*

Lunch – was a lot quieter, considering Demyx moved… But then of course Kana read Shaman King vol. 20 in about ten minutes. Reactions ensued…

English – just worked on stuff, really.

the bus ride – Kana, Rae and I concluded Gluttony must’ve spat out Marco when he died. (For those who don’t get the joke, I once drew a pic of Gluttony from FMA eating Marco)

… And then Shana read volume 20. Called and left a voice mail message on my phone saying “REN’S ALIVE!” I guess the whole (SPOILER)wound-opened-up-again-and-he’s-holding-a-gun-to-his-own-head (worse yet MARCO’S gun)(ENDSPOILER) thing didn’t sink in until I… eventually went over to their place because her voice mail didn’t make any sense, even with the following voice mail from Rae in an attempt to translate it. Articulation next time, Shana-chan! I gotta have you at least know the basics for when you enter high school if you choose to be in choir and Mr. Jeff’s still teaching at Skyline! Though performance-wise and craziness-wise, I could totally see her becoming the next Josh… (sorry Rae if that gave you weird images). So insanity ensued while attempting to goad Shana into doing her homework, until they had dinner. Then I ate, realized it was 7:30 and that I probably ought to be heading home.

So now I’m here, but it’s late. Until next time, ja ne!

So, About Yesterday
Now that I’m done with dinner (making those pizzas seemed to take a lot longer when I was doing it just by myself – no one to stir while I got the ingredients or vice versa – I started at one, finished at four), I can proceed to tell what happened regarding the anime-fest yesterday.

I got there, one of the first cosplayers to show up, and well… at first there wasn’t much to do except look for any manga that I could buy – which I did, and thus I now have Shaman King volume 20. Later they started up the laptop that was showing all the anime they were viewing (all fansubs) and, still with little to do until more people came and some of the activities started, I decided I’d watch, at least partially. So I did, seeing a recent Bleach episode that was a great refresher in what’s been going on storyline-wise there, an episode of Code Geass (finally). Still don’t know much on that series, but now I have a general idea of what it’s about. And on that note, Lelouch’s father is freakier than Rezo, for those who are familiar with Slayers season one – speaking of Slayers… they were showing an episode of Revolution! TT^TT You’d think I’d be happy, right? Not when I still have yet to see Try and thus can’t watch Revolution yet. But of course by then I’d gotten caught up in a conversation with someone else in the viewing area, and Ri-chan and Demyx showed up, later with Kyarri joining the party as well. At about 2 or so, Mom picked me up so I could go to Shana’s choir concert, I went back afterward and the rest was a blast. Kind of. Found out from Kyarri that I missed some pretty neat stuff in the skit competition, but hey, in the long run the concert was more worthwhile. And I had strawberry pocky – the kind with actual strawberries in the frosting! |3 oh, how I missed that stuff…

Items purchased this time around: Shaman King volume 20, a random figurine that was my main splurge-item (ate up a whole chunk of the money I brought with me, but it was pretty), a couple of D. Gray-Man posters, one for Shana and the other for Demyx, the latter I still gotta figure out how to get it to her.

End result, I have almost zip as far as money for AniZona or Saboten, and all the goodies they’ll have at Renaissance will be just for me to merely gaze at unless my brother miraculously pays me back the 20 he owes me by then, which is doubtful. Still, now that I think of it, AniZona’s close enough to my birthday… hmm. Should I waste that super-special party/dinner opportunity for my 18th birthday that my grandparents could offer me on a con like I did for my sweet 16? I don’t know, I’ll cross that road when I get there.

Today was just another one of those Sundays, except of course since it was Fast Sunday for this month I thought I’d make pizza for my brother and I using the recipe that Rae and I used on Wednesday – you know, to break the fast with a bang. Even though that end was contradicted because I had mistakenly followed my mom’s notion of fasting in Arizona means you can still drink water due to hydration issues (but then since she works in a medical-type profession, I could see why she said that) and drank from the drinking fountain at church. And you know, my brother drank a glass of milk as I was telling him it was the first Sunday of the month (other than Conference months, Fast Sunday’s always the first Sunday of the month). I got the recipe and some ingredients I wasn’t sure I had from Rae, and got to work at about 1 pm. 4 pm, both pizzas are finishing up. I call him home, he eats… and what does he do to return the favor? Sure, he put the rest of the pizza away, but he did it in a lazy manner. And he just left the dishes lying there in the sink (we have a general rule in our house that if one child cooks dinner, the other two clean up; otherwise, I’d do the dishes no problem – it’s typically my job, after all).

On a random/sidetracking-from-my-annoyance-at-my-brother note, yeast is amusing to watch when it comes in contact with warm water and honey. That stuff is just so… so… weird. How is it that yeast can be so alive? And how do they get it, anyway?

Since there’s not much else to say, until next time, ja ne!

Mixed Emotions
To save time, I’m just posting here tonight and on LJ; I don’t have much time as it is except to say what’s on my mind at the very moment. AniFest stuff will come tomorrow after church, if I remember. Keep in mind I’ll have slept since then.

But as to what’s currently bugging me, thanks to Ri-chan’s spoilers (but hey, I asked for them) and delitor’s post reminding me just now… Oh, I probably should put this under a spoiler block for those who don’t want to read it, skip the stuff within the "spoiler" brackets.

(SPOILERSPOILER)Okay, so it’s pretty obvious that nowadays Naruto’s just a long, dragged out manga form of a Final Destination movie – everyone’s dropping like flies. Jiraiya, yeah, we kinda expected that to an extent at some point or another. Itachi, also expected, sad as that was. Deidara? Sasori? Whoever else in the Akatsuki that has died that I do not know about? Tragic as that was, they were on the “villain” side; of course they’d either become good or get killed off eventually. That’s just how these types of things work unless you leave it open-ended or you go for a neither-side-wins approach (which it almost looks like Kishimoto’s heading towards, considering the following). But Kakashi?! HINATA?! Dude, Pein’s gonna get a serious can of whoop-*** launched on him by Hinata fans and NaruHina fans alike (I myself belonging to the latter), if he hasn’t already! … But at least she finally got to tell Naruto how she felt. (/SPOILER)

… Crap, I feel like I’m gonna cry now. *glances at her newly purchased copy of Shaman King volume 20* should I…? But then that might make me cry even more ‘cause of Matamune, and possibly get me mad/impatient if it turns out Ren doesn’t come back until 21 and Takei was just building up to it at the end of 20.

On that note, mainly due to the wig my Jun cosplay didn’t turn out too well. x.x but then at least I was able to change into a different cosplay later – first swapping costumes with Kyarri and then pulling my old Lina cosplay out of the closet. But -

Ren: that’ll be covered LATER, remember? You’ve got a curfew to keep until tomorrow night, and it’s almost ten.

CCR: true. And I did say I was gonna make this quick.

Well, until next time, ja ne!

Meh...
I’ll be honest, I don’t feel like posting today. I already said what I was going to say on my LJ pretty much, so what’s the point tonight? But then I’m kinda tired too and want to get a shower in before bed.

On an additional note, I greatly dislike the missionary week wake-up call (up by 6:30). Can’t I at least sleep in the weekend? D:

Ren: stop complaining. To some extents it serves you right for staying up so late.

CCR: I know, I know, but I’ve stayed within the 10:30 curfew these past few nights. But then if you do the curfew and wake-up call over the weekend it’s worth bonus points for that day… gah.

In addition, I now know what I’m gonna do cosplay-wise for the anime fest tomorrow. Due to a wig I just bought at Wal-Mart earlier this evening and had to fight to get it to style anything remotely like the character (and her hairstyle aside from the bangs, if you’re not trying to get it exactly according to the ref you’re using, exaggerations and all, is rather easy – says a lot about the wig quality, I’m telling you.), and my black qui-pao (I think that’s what the style of dress is called)… I’m gonna cosplay Tao Jun. What is it with me and cosplaying Shaman King characters of late, especially the Taos? XD

Goku: I still find that a tad odd… you’re kinda short for Jun.

CCR: -^- I know that. But I have to make due with my height, for now. Heck, it’s not like I’m gonna attempt cosplaying any of the other Sanzo Ikkou, since they’re all at least six foot almost except for you.

Goku: good point – wait… *double-checks CCR’s copy of Saiyuki volume 1* … yeah, sounds about right.

Ren: so we have a shrimp and a midget-monkey.

Ed: WHAT DID YOU JUST -

CCR: please guys, not tonight.

Anyway, there may be art up tomorrow, depending on how late I get back from the con and all that jazz, and with it a couple new Randomosity pages (Randomosity readers: FINALLY!). Until next time, ja ne!

Return of the Fangirl!
Ren: what’s with the title?

CCR: *shrug*

Okay, I can explain why I haven’t been posting of late. You see, this year Bro. Goss only assigned us to three days with no computer, music, etc. I know, I said I would still post because of the journal thing. But Monday I technically did, but it was one of my insanely long posts with Kyarri. To see what happened then, go to welive’s world “Kyarri and Friends” and if you have the time, read the most recent post.

Tuesday, due to mutual I didn’t get home until late and I still had to study my scriptures for 15 minutes. And I just didn’t feel like posting.

Speaking of Tuesday… both Tuesday and Wednesday felt short! Like they just flew by me! And I hardly had to do much work in my classes… well, except Econ. I had to finish my study guide, and the next couple of days we’re watching Tucker because it deals with the concept of competition. Choir, we practiced some of our songs. That’s really the bulk of Tuesday, other than helping Kyarri in the morning (also portrayed in the Monday night post) and mutual, which was decorating savings cans for Girls’ Camp. Technically, I didn’t have to go because it was camp-related and I can’t go to camp anymore, but Kana went even though she didn’t want to make a can, so I figured I’d go anyway…. And I didn’t want to sit around the house and do nothing.

Ed: you could’ve cleared your scripture study early.

CCR: true, I could have. And I could’ve posted too. But then I might’ve been tempted to do other things more relevant to… web-surfing. One of the things we weren’t allowed to do.

Wednesday… We watched Muzzy in French for the umpteenth time (though I was working on the final pages of Insomnia, which should be up tomorrow depending). Then in English, Caruso decided, “Oh, it’s a short(er) day! I’ll let them watch a movie!” And thus he popped in The Princess Bride. Choir, we rehearsed our finale the entire time (which we finally got the scores for! =D)

But it was after school on Wednesday that prevented me from posting that night.

I went to Rae’s house, she wanted to make dinner. Her dad suggested we get out the old bread recipe and make pizza… from scratch. Needless to say, we ate at almost 9 pm. But it was good pizza. And we used the leftover dough to make monkey bread! Or as Kyarri now calls it, “Goku bread” (referring to Saiyuki, not Dragonball). I came home, said my prayers and crashed with a full belly and three slices of home-made pizza in the fridge with crust so thick two slices could fill you up like that.

Today, the first full day back at school since Monday, was back to work. We started watching Tucker in Econ, studied 1 Corinthians 7-10 in Seminary, and choir was more finale rehearsal. French, it really WAS back to work, which was actually semi-nice. I’d rather not have watched a movie that’s supposed to teach you a language and has one of the most crack-ish storylines ever (those who’ve seen Muzzy in any language would know what I mean. To those who don’t, to some extent be lucky you don’t). That reminds me though, I have homework for that class… *pulls out French homework and works on it while finishing this post*

Ren: *rolls eyes* multi-tasking, as usual.

CCR: hey, it’s easy work this time. … ish.

Ren: “ish?”

CCR: as in it requires some work, and might be confusing to one who doesn’t know the language. But then I’ve been taking French for quite a while now. *writes down the answer to one of the questions on her homework paper* … hold on, maybe it’s – geh! I hate when new words that aren’t even on the vocab just pop out at you in these things. *finishes the last question* done! ^^

Now where was I…? Oh yeah! In English, we have yet another essay to write, this time on music. I don’t know quite what I’m gonna do yet, but I think I’m gonna focus on Country, then funnel down to one of a few artists I’m considering. George Strait, Garth Brooks, people like that… depends on which I can write more on regarding how their music has contributed to the evolution of Country music.

Then in choir we rehearsed Polly Wolly Doodle. Unless something comes up tonight, that’s my day in a nutshell. Until next time, ja ne!

In Preparation for the Day...
When Missionary Week commences.

Well, I THOUGHT I was gonna get my personal progress project done today – in fact, with what little I have to do on it… hold on. *goes to get the materials needed to finish that part of the project* there. All I have to do now is get a pillow and figure out how to sew that latch-hook tapestry I made onto it and I’ll have my Divine Nature project completed! Which means I’ll have all of my PP done once and for all!

Ren: unless they say you have to do virtue too.

CCR: I’m less than two months from my 18th birthday; I think they’ll let me finish like this.

Ren: but what if they don’t?

CCR: then I either get Virtue done real fast or I don’t get my medallion. Simple as that. But while I have that sketchbook out, I might as well work on that last paper doll for Shana… *takes out her FMA art books for refs of Ed’s automail leg (I’ve got the arm mostly memorized)* … … Dang it, why does he almost always wear long pants?!

Ren: *reads Arakawa’s comments on one of the tarot card illustrations* Too conceited is right. He looks like he’s the king of the world!

Ed: wha - *sees the paper doll outline on the table* *face palm* You’re still doing those for her?

CCR: *shrug* might as well. I’ve already started, so what’s the point if I don’t finish it? Crap, I didn’t get anything in the first artbook. Second one then! I know there’s at least one where Ed shows some leg! Wow, that came out wrong… And the pic I was thinking of actually didn’t! Dang it… I’m just tempted to go on theO and look for that wallpaper I was using on my laptop for a while. Ooh, it’s been a while since I’ve seen this one! *bookmarks it to scan later for a wallpaper* >D … *keeps searching while waiting for the glue on the one project part to dry* … wah, this one almost makes me cry! WHY, ARAKAWA-SENSEI, WHY??? (for those who own the second art book, I’m talking about the one on page 46-47). They’re never going to be back in one squad again, are they…? And – and Roy! What will he do without Hawkeye?! *brick’d by the non-RoyAi fans*

Ed: can you just get to the point of the post already? And on top of that, you’re spoiling the manga for the readers!

CCR: true, true. Sorry about that.

But then not much really happened today. Went to stake conference – took notes the first half, but then Shana talked me into going and walking around the outside of the church building during the second half because the little ones were going to do so. And we sat on the stage. XD

The rest of the day, I’ve just been working on some stuff with my Word archive, since my Interwebs was down for a while this afternoon. *finishes looking through artbook* crap. Okay, to theO’s wallpaper resources it is, then! I will have at the very least the pencil rough for this done by the end of tonight!

Ed: what about your project?

CCR: I’ll work on bits and pieces of that too.

Well, I best stop multitasking now, shouldn’t I? Until tomorrow (since “journal” posts are a Missionary Week requirement, I’m hopefully guaranteed to post all throughout this week), ja ne!

CRAP! I almost forgot!

Scripture of the Day

"Even so. Amen." - at the end of the last verse of... I think every section of the Doctrine & Covenants (often referred here as D&C)

Second-to-Last Post Until Missionary Week (Maybe the Last Post if I don't Post Tomorrow)
Or I’m gonna try this year at least. In previous years, I’ve still posted but just barred myself from the rest of the Interwebs unless I needed it for school. This year… I don’t know. Would I remember to post journal entries in my Word archives if I wasn’t posting them to here?

… Ah heck with it, I’ve done that in years past and it’s worked! Bro. Goss told me that if it’s school-related or if it has to do with another requirement for Missionary Week, such as journaling, I can still use minimal computer access. And since theO technically kinda is the closest thing I have to a journal… Well, there you have it. However, I WILL NOT be able to comment or reply to comments until March 2, the day Missionary Week ends. Sorry.

Okay, brief crash-course on Missionary Week for those who haven’t been with me the last two times I’ve had to do this.

Missionary Week is something that we do in our Seminary program (as far as I’m concerned it’s throughout the Seminary; I’ve only had one year I haven’t done it, and that was when I was with Bro. Spencer, for one reason or another. During that week, we’re asked to do certain tasks every day, and to abstain from some tasks such as computer and music unless they’re absolutely necessary for school, as though we were full-time missionaries.

Ren: and yet both years in the past you’ve used -

CCR: they get that, Ren, and it’s for a reason. Speaking of which, are you and Edo-kun –

Ren: we only left for the week the first year. As long as you can refrain from that whole “people want to do something more when they’re forbidden from it” type urge to glomp, it shouldn’t be that big a deal.

CCR: true, it shouldn’t…

Anyway, as to the past three days:

Thursday – gave my lesson, and epically failed! At least that’s how it felt like to me. But then Bro. Goss and Hannah said I did well and that I’m just over-critical of myself -

everyone who knows me: BECAUSE YOU ARE!

CCR: I need not that reminder.

Went over our notes in Econ, went in-depth on the interpretations for our concert pieces in Dolce (womens’ choir), and later in Belle Chanson too (6th hour “n00b” choir), and French… I forget what we did in French. But that happens a lot to me nowadays. It seems like I’ve just grown weary of the language… or Sereno’s teaching style since I’ve been a student of hers for three years now. English was grammar lectures I believe… going over the parts of speech as though we were in kindergarten again. Still don’t know what it is that’s killing my grade in there, but I’m almost thinking that it might be because I forget to put my name on some papers (like our vocab packets).

Friday – Econ and Seminary Tests, hopefully both of which I passed. Well, I know I passed my Sem. test as usual – scripture mastery tests are easy the way Bro. Goss formats them. Our D&C SM test at the end, though… uh, no. Just no. But then I’ve always had a hard time with D&C because the sections go by numbers, not by book and chapter names like the rest of the standard works. Dolce and Belle, we had a sub. Ran through our songs a few times after the quiz in both classes, but I think Mr. F (our sub; he can have an actual title like that in these posts because he’s subbed for us multiple times, so the students know him semi-well) either doesn’t like how I handle my solo in Marchin’ On Up, or he just doesn’t like the song. We only went over that one once, and the rest we ran through at least twice. French, we went over vocab, had to give a presentation in front of the class, and went over a new grammar form. English, we did vocab work.

But what happened Friday after school, was what made the day.

We went ice skating down at the Arcadia with Aunt Mary for Andrew’s birthday. Now for those who’ve known me for a while, you might recall me mentioning at some points how my mom used to be a figure skater (and it turns out she won the Fiesta Skate of 1980-something (can’t remember the last digit) AT the Arcadia), if I ever even mentioned it at all. So as I joke with Kyarri and Shana, “Mom’s on the ice again.” She didn’t pull off any of her old moves, though – just skated around the rink a bit. She tried once, but almost fell in the process.

Then, we have today. MATSURI! >0< b (I hope that shows up in the World version of the post.) So yes, Tsubasa, I went. Don’t know if I saw you there or not or vice versa, but Rae and Kana and I were there… and Shana too. I bought a new kimono, a hakama (finally!), and some new chopsticks too since my other ones were starting to chip a bit at the ends. And Ramune too. Mm, Ramune…

Allen: forget about the Ramune or that other stuff – the mochi (spelling?), now that was… -__-; actually, now that I think of it I’m not sure if the aftertaste was worth it.

CCR: what, I’ll admit the mochi was good! A tad sweet, but still good.

All in all, I think the four of us had a good time. Not sure what the Great Tall One (Rae and Shana’s dad) thought of the whole thing, though. We just kinda split off from him for much of it.

… This hakama is comfortable.

Ed: talk about a change of subject.

CCR: what, it is! I’m pretty sure if my dad saw me wear it though he’d call them “super fat-pants” or “pleated bell-bottoms.”

Well, with Stake Conference being tomorrow and all, and considering despite it starting an hour later than church would normally start I gotta be there early anyway because Rae’s family is taking us this week (my mom’s working the next three weekends, Sunday included. What can be done?) and Rae and her mom are in the choir. Wonder if we’ll have another General Authority [of the Church] come in like last time? Or was that the time before last? I don’t remember! Until next time, ja ne! But first…

Scripture of the Day

This is a new little add-on I’ll probably add at the very end of my posts during Missionary Week; it’s not to try and convert anyone or anything, I’m just thinking it would be a neat idea. Scriptures will be taken from the standard works of scripture (both Testaments of the Bible, Doctrine and Covenants… and maybe the Pearl of Great Price, too.).

“They word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” (Psalms 119:105 (KJV))
