Heaven to Hell

I can tell you the joys of heaven,
I have been there I will tell.
And also of pain and misery,
Since I've also been to Hell.
You don't have to look far to find them,
There's no need for a long search.
They're both right here in front of you,
Residing here on Earth.

Heaven is quite simply,
Finding your one true love.
Having him there beside you,
Like a pristine, beautiful dove.
When he's there inside your arms,
Everything seems to be alright.
When he's there embracing you,
You can make it through the night.
It is a rare thing to discover,
The one love that keeps you safe.
Nothing else matters but that,
Don't ever let it escape.

As I said, I've been to heaven,
But I've also been to Hell...

Hell is also easy to explain,
It is heaven, only reversed.
Being apart from the one you love,
The horror that makes you cursed.
Being away from her weakens you,
You weep and cry out his name.
Yours is a wretched, tortured existence,
Life seems to be a cruel, twisted game.
You know that he still loves you,
And he wants dearly to come back.
But he cannot return to you,
And your entire world turns black...

I can speak of joy and happiness,
And pain and misery as well.
For I have been to heaven,
But I've also been to Hell...
