No Action This Time

Seto landed the helicopter on a ridge on the lower parts of a mountain range. A man walked up out of the snow towards Seto as he got out of the helicopter. "Greetings Kaiba. We thought you might come after the beam appeared. Come with me," the man said. He disappeared into the snow.
Seto grudgly walked after him. The pair rode in what most would call a snow sled except the animals pulling it where almost twice the size of dogs. They ripped through the snow easily and quickly made time to a small village. Seto and the man were greeted by three more people. Two were mean and one was an older woman. They were already sitting in another pair of sleds.
"Who are you?" Seto bitterly asked as the sled stopped.
"We don't really have time for that now do we Seto Kaiba," one of the two other men said.
"Don't worry about it sonny. We're going to go get her now. Been awhile since I've heard from you," the older woman said with a grin.
"Hello ma'am," Seto said hesitantly.
She grabbed Seto's arm. "Come cutey. You can ride with me! And call me grandma," the woman cheerul proclaimed as she dragged Seto off.
The other men chuckled and started off after them. They rode to a small cabin far away from the village and still higher in the mountain. The group walked on foot away from the cabin.
Seto trudged through the snow. His legs were almost completely covered with snow. He was the first to crest the small hill. He looked over the scene. bones the sizes of cars and trucks were half buried. Snow moved to indicate blasted areas and large wind changes. "Welcome to the graveyard of the legedary sky dragons Seto Kaiba," the man siad as he came up next to Kaiba. "Come on. We have alot of ground to cover." The other two men started to walk through the snow graveyard. Seto was followed by the same man he first met.
Seto walked around a large white skull. He was amused at the size of the bones. He could not help but be amazed by the scene which surrounded him. He was look across the horizon line when he saw a warm red glow. Seto moved to try and get a closer look. He moved through the snow till he could see the defined figure. He saw a red Dark Paladin. Seto began to hurry. The man that was keeping an eye on him began to follow Seto closely. Seto found a mound of black and peach encircled in red snow. Something inside of Seto shank. His body could not move for a moment. Than all of a sudden he could not help but run to the black feathered mound. He fell to his knees quickly and tried to turn over the figure.
The man was a few steps behind Seto. He shouted for the rest of the group. The other two men came running over quickly. The three men quickly moved Seto away from the figure. One man sat on his own legs and helped the other two pull the figure onto his back. Seto could see the hair fall away from the face. "Angela," Seto muttered under his breathe.
The other two men each carefully took hold of a wing. The trio slowly trudged throug the snow because the weight they were trying to move. someone finally yelled for Kaiba to catch up with them.
Seto opened the pair of sliding door to the cabin as wide as the could go. "What's going on?"Grandma asked.
Seto stepped out of the way. He's motions caused grandma to move back as well. The three men came in. "Get out of here! We need room to work!" one of the three men shouted.
Grandma pulled Seto out of the room by his arm. She closed the door behind them.
"We should help! Atleast close the sliding doors. They're going to freeze!" Seto shouted.
"Those boys would not let her go now without giving it all. She means to much to everyone here," "And don't worry about the cold. We're all used to it. Besides they could use the elbow room. Let's get you something to change into," Grandma said walking Seto into another room.
"Do you think Angela will be all right?" Seto asked.
Grandma was looking through a closet. "Yes."
"Will things every go back to normal?" Seto asked.
"No," Grandma anwsered.
"How can you say that without hesitating or concern?" Seto asked becoming curious.
"Something Angela said to me when I first came to live here. You can never go back to the life you considered normal now. All you can do is more forward. It may not be great or special but once you make it part of you. you'll find yourself in a different normal life," Grandma said. She took a stack of clothes. "Maybe a little long but it works. Here change into these. You're clothes are soaked from walking around in the snow," Grandma said.
"No. I'm fine,"Seto said.
"Change! You're going to catch a cold in those clothes!" Grandma shouted. She closed the door. Grandma walked into the bedroom where the guys were working on Angela. "How we doing in here?"
"We're ok right now grandma. Hopefully she'll start cooperating soon," the older man answered.
"Any chance the boy could take her to a doctor down below?" Grandma suggested.
"You might be thinking a little to far ahead right now," the man said after a slight pause. He did not look over his shoulder.
"Oh," Grandma said relizing the truth of the situation.
"You know the rules anyway," the man reminded.
"Ok. I have something ready for you guys to eat in a little while. Hopefully things will look better than," Grandma said.
Kaiba looked around the room. It was decorated in soft colors. angela always picked out these colors when she was decorating things. Everything in the room was positioned oddly to him. Until he thought about it. 'She has it so her wings can be out whenever she wants. Clever.' A picture cought Kaiba's attention on the dresser. He picked up the frame to see a picture of Angela with Mokuba and himself. 'This is from the picnic she dragged me to about two years ago.' Seto thought about the day.
Grandma opened the door. She saw Kaiba standing in the room. "Looks like you're all dry now. Now lets get some food into you," Grandma said with a grin. She took the clothes that Seto left in the bathroom.
"I'm not hungry," Seto said.
"Do we have to do this again? You're going to eat! You're too skinny away,"Grandma said.
Seto smirked. "Fine," Seto said.
Grandma noticed his reaction. "She tell you that alot?" Grandma asked.
"Yeah. When can I see her?" Seto replied.
"Not for awhile. The boys are doing their best right now," Grandma answered.
"How long till I can take her home?" Seto asked.
"It'll be sometime. She set forth a rule that all of us here are going to enforce," Grandma started.
"What rule?" Seto asked.
"In order to protect our secret she is not going to leave this mountain with her wings out. Unless its under her own power," Grandma explained.
"So if she's not awake or her wings aren't inside her back she's not leaving the mountain," Seto repeated.
"You got it. Now lets go eat," Grandma said. "If she waked up at all,"Grandma mummbled under her breathe. Seto heard her comment but did not respond to it. She pushed Seto out of the room infront of her. She spent most of the evening with Seto. The men left the room for the night.
The moon rose over the mountain. Seto walked into the Angela's bedroom. The room was poorly light. Seto could hardly see anything in the room. He did not need to see much though. A pair of huge wings where spread across the room suspended from the cieling. He moved around the wings to the bed.Seto could see an outline of Angela's figure. She was proped up like a doll. Seto moved onto the bed. He moved Angela's arms over his shoulders. 'You shouldn't be like this.' Seto thought as he unhocked her body from the cieling. Her wieght swifted onto Seto. He was cought off gaurd by how much she weighed. He repotioned his legs so he could hold the weight. Seto moved Angela's hair off her shoulder. Seto rested his head on Angela's shoulder. He loosen lyed his hands around her waist. "Come back to me."
