Ten Games To Play Before You Die
IT HAS RETURNED!!
After several months (that’s right, MONTHS) Ten Games To Play Before You Die is back.

This week’s game is Resident evil 4 on the Wii. This game was originally made for the Gamecube in 2004, a year later it was remade for PS2 with extra levels not available on the original and in July this year, Resident evil 4 was once again remade for the Nintendo Wii.

It’s been six years since ex-cop Leon S. Kennedy survived the horrific events in Raccoon City. Now he is a government agent working directly under the orders of the president of the United States. For his first mission, Leon is sent to a remote village somewhere in Europe to rescue the president’s kidnapped daughter, Ashley. Before long, Leon discovers that a religious cult called the Los Elluminados is behind the kidnapping and intend to infect Ashley and the world with the parasitic Las Plagas. Its now up to Leon to not only save the president’s daughter but the whole world whilst trying to survive a nightmare far worse that the Raccoon City incident.

The best parts of the game are:
• the large selection of guns and the ability to upgrade them:
• extra levels that give more insight into the original story:
• an easy-to-use control system; and
• stunning graphics.

Unfortunately, some of the bosses in the game are a little bit too easy.

Resident evil 4 on the Wii is a horror game that will have even those of you who despise horror, playing for hours on end. Also, since the story of is not directly linked to the story of the first three Resident evil games, there is no need to play the first games to understand what is going on (though I would recommend you get the first three anyway). Whether a newbie to the series (like me) or a long time Resident evil survival expert who already has the game on another platform, Resident evil 4 on the Wii is one game everybody should have a copy of. Resident evil 4 on the Wii is available in most in game stores or should be available on ebay.

Quick update
Hey how you all been. I know its been a while since I made a post but to tell the truth I've been busy with preparing for college. my second year starts on the 10th. This is also one of the reasons that I haven't started ten games to play before you die again. I was ment to post the latest review 2 weeks ago but I didn't. sorry. Instead, I'll start it in two weeks time. th second reason I haven't dont it yet is because Im not sure what games I want to write about. At the moment, I only know what Im writing about next and I still have another 3 reviews to go after the next one and when I start it, I dont want to have to stop again because Im not sure what to write about.

In other news, I've joined two clubs. The Resident Evil fan club (Hosted by Crimson Stars) and the King of Fighters fan club (Hosted by Teapot Doomscam and Punks Not Dead) I still need to put up a banner for that club on my site. Also Neko.Lover made a banner for me. Its the one with the cool looking Black Dragon on it. Thanks Neko.Lover, Im really happy you made it and like it alot.
Anyway, catch you all later.

Ten Games to Play Before You Die: The Re-post
For the sixth instalment of ten games to play before you die, I have decided on Metal Gear Solid 2 on the PS2. MGS2 appeared in 2001 and is the sequel to the blockbuster PSone game Metal Gear Solid.

After the Shadow Moses incident and Solid Snake and former lead developer of Metal Gear REX, Otacon, form the group ‘Philanthropy’ which is dedicated to destroying all Metal Gear units. They are soon informed that the US Navy have designed a new type of Metal Gear called RAY. Unlike previous Metal Gear mechs, this one can swim making it even more dangerous. So Snake is sent in to find and destroy it.

The best parts of the game are:
• the great plot;
• the unique characters;
• music that gives the game the feel of a Hollywood blockbuster rather than a game;
• Vamp is cool;
• Fortune is really sexy; and
• the epic final battles.

Unsurprisingly, MGS2 only has a single bad point, and that is you don’t play as Snake all the way through the game and instead, have to play as the new character Raiden for most of the game.

Metal Gear Solid 2 is by far one of the best games on the PS2 and will most likely have you playing it over, and over, and over again. Metal Gear Solid 2 is available in most good second-hand games stores or should be available on EBay.

Ten Games to Play Before You Die: The Re-post
This week’s game is Red Steel on the Nintendo Wii. Towards the end of 2006 a revolutionary new console was born. One that uses motion sensor technology allowing gamers to play games in a new way. This console is called the Nintendo Wii and Red Steel was one of its release titles.

Red Steel starts in LA with the main character Scott going with his fiancée to meet her father – a Yakuza boss – while he is in town. Before long members of a rival Yakuza gang attack the hotel where the Yakuza boss is staying, kidnap Scott’s fiancée and kill her father. In order to save his fiancée, Scott travels to Japan and finds himself caught up in a brutal gang war.

The strong points of the game are:
• the innovative control system;
• some of the enemies in this game are quite entertaining; and
• the sword fighting can be very enjoyable.

The games weak points are:
• the controls can be very tricky at times; and
• there is no harder difficulty.

Red Steel is an exciting FPS that makes good use of the Nintendo Wiis’ innovative control system. Red Steel is available in most good game stores.

Ten Games to Play Before You Die: The Re-post
The fourth game to make the list is Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. Disgaea appeared on the PS2 in 2003 and had a sequel in 2006, but unlike most games on the PS2, this strategy RPG is mostly in 2D with the maps in 3D.

Disgaea is about a young half demon - half human prince called Laharl who has awoken from a 2 year sleep to find that the Overlord of the Neverworld – his father – has died and now demons from all over the Neverworld are vying for the title of Overlord, so if wishes to take his rightful place as Overlord he will have to fight his way through the hordes of demons, even including former members of the imperial court.

The best parts of this game are:
• the vast number of characters you can create from demons such as vampires, dragons, zombies and succubus, to human characters and even angels;
• the vast number of weapons;
• the ability to customize and upgrade almost every thing in the game even including the shops;
• the sometimes gripping yet funny storyline; and
• the funny and sometimes strange cast of characters.

The bad thing about this game is:
• sometimes the difficulty will suddenly rise to a ridiculous level in the space of 1 or 2 maps; and
• some of the bosses later in the game are ridiculously powerful e.g. your team might be between LV 100 – 150 and the boss is LV 1000.

This is a very addictive game that will keep you occupied for hours on end so go out and get it. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness is available in most good second-hand games stores or should be available on EBay.

Ten Games to Play Before You Die: The Re-post
This week’s game is Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64. Just like our last game (Ocarina of time) Super Mario 64 was the first in the series to have 3D graphics and appeared on the scene in1996 and also made an appearance on the DS in 2004 in the US and 2005 in the UK.

Super Mario 64 is all about a plumber called Mario. He receives a letter from his girlfriend Princess Peach asking him to come to her castle in the Mushroom Kingdom but when he arrives at the castle Princess Peach is nowhere to be found and all her servants have been turned ghosts. The evil Bowser is behind it all, he kidnapped Peach, turned her servants into ghosts and stole the power stars and hid them inside the many paintings all over the castle, so now it is up to Mario to venture into the paintings and retrieve the power stars so he can defeat Bowser and restore peace to the kingdom.

Super Mario 64 is a game with a lot of good points (too many to mention) but very few faults which is rare in a game making this one of the best games ever made, so go download this great game on your Wii now!
