Oi!!!!! How is everyone out there still on otaku? I've upated my myspace account so if anyone wants to find me there go right ahead. Let's see, the power went out yesterday here because something exploded at the PG&E plant and the fire department had to just let it burn out. It was something chemical I think and putting water on it would have only made it worst. Luckily my dad wasn't working there and he was safe. ^__^ Thank God for little miracles. When the power went out at home the first thing I asked my mom was, "Did you forget to pay the electric bill again?" *lol* It was so funny because my nephews and niece and little Sara were going a little crazy. They couldn't find anything to do and were bored out of their minds without electricity. I think part of the whole town was without electricity for a while. My big brother wanted to go out to eat, but when he called they said they didn't have power either. (They talked on cell phones.) Yeah, we eat there often that they probably know some of us by name or at least recognize us on site. They know my brother more though on a personal level and we sometimes talk with the owner about how things are going for him. It's almost like another La Colonia for us. ^__^ My family has been going to La Colonia ever since they started the small business for more than eighteen years now. It's pretty amazing to be so close to them and talk with them about their lives as well. My sister's husband Tony seems to love it like family too. ^__^ When he first went he asked for a menu and everyone was like, "Menu? What do you need that for?" It was funny. We eat there every Sunday morning after church when we can. ^__^ It's real homey atmosphere for us. Where was I? Oh, thinking...I have to start picking up in my classes that's for sure. I'm hoping for at LEAST a C so I can pass it, but right now I feel like I'm walking too close to the edge. I'm gonna try and get my butt back into overachieving and try my best for that "A" instead of praying for the min. OOOOOOO!!!! WE DID STUFF IN MY ANIMATION CLASS!!!!! SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!! I WANT TO LEARN SO MUCH MORE!!!!! *BOUNCES LIKE CRAZY AND DANCES* I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!! I have it as a Tuesday class only though so I have to wait an entire week for the next class. We're learning how to use FLash program now and it's very interesting. Still, trying for that dream. I think though if I ever get a chance to talk with my professor I might try and change my Major to Communication instead of Art. Or maybe I can try to Double major. Man, this is gonna take awhile I can just feel it...Oh, well it's just I think there's so much I can do with Communication than Art, ya know? Ah, think most about right now, ne? I have to focus on meeting the requirements for school first!! Then I can worry about the details later, ne? YOSH!!!! I CAN DO THIS!!! Oh yeah, I picked up an application for Yoshinoya yesterday. Now I just have to FINALLY get my state ID. But I heard it takes six months to get to you!!! *SADNESS* Oh well, I'll try and find time SOMEWHERE to do that. Well, Until next time mina-san!!!!! *Waves bye*

Hey!! So how is everyone? It's certainly been awhile and I have somewhat interesting time to report back to all my friends here ^__^

I helped at with the dinner that was being held for the Seven Oaks Golf Club. They're some of the major funders for the Hispanic Scholarship fund. The students who received money from them were asksed to volunteer and I did. Man, it felt like a Seto Kaiba mansion and here I was feeling like a Joey Wheeler. lol ^__^ There was statues, a big classy piano, several waiting rooms, huge curtains, and chandeliers!!! The dining room was amazing!!! And the food smelled positively DELICIOUS!!! There were little waiter people too running around in tuxedos. Real High Class, and this was just a little club to them.

It was sort of funny with this high class place to see old men in shorts, polo shirts, sneakers, and baseball caps coming in all laughing and hungry. ^__^ I was the first to arrive and Stella gave me the CSUB shirt to wear. I looked nice enough. Then I met Jessica who was in my communications class. I've talked to her a little, but I was so glad someone I knew was there. She came in jeans and seemed just as awed as I was.

Oh! And get this. You know how in regular restrooms they have the paper sheets in that silver metal thing of that thing where you press down? Well, I went to the restroom looking everywhere for the towels and I look in this basket with cloth outlining the inside and BAM!! In three neat stacks were the towels all nicely folded. It made me laugh. ^__^

Hm, Well, I've updated my myspace if anyone wants to read that. That's it for now!!

I have a narrative lab to do for my public communication class and I decided to do mine about my little sister and how she has helped motivate me. I really hope that my project won't seem to lame. My teacher was giving some amazing examples of what her past students did. Some pretty amazing stuff. After class I walked around with Alisha and had some laughs. She had to go do something though and I ended up waiting an hour for her. It's cool though. We decided to meet up at 12:30pm so it's all good. Maybe we can go to Michael's or something. I ran into Angels and we went to the Admissions Office and talked some. She told me how she was going to switch from her undecided major to art. It made me real happy to have someone with me now. ^__^ She's gonna take the same art history class I had and I told her how I still had the book. So yeah, we went to my old teacher and it made me smile that she still knew my name. Went to the Student Union and say bye. I went to the Art Gallery they had in the multi-purpose room and met up with Joe again. I hadn't seen him in a while and I don't know how but they got me to buy a shirt. lol Grrr!! I DON'T EVEN LIKE IT!! It said CSUB art club on it though and I was going to join it. I just have to go to the meetings now. The logo on it had munch's scream and said, "Make War, not Art" I think they got the words mixed up, just looking at it now makes me FURIOUS!! I'm probably gonna tailor it so it looks like a normal black shirt and might print out some iron ons and give it some of my own touch. ^__~ Maybe make it a Gackt fan shirt. ^__^ lol Talking about Gackt-san!!! I GOT MY DVD's OF HIS VIDEOS!!! *UNCONTROLLABLE SQUEAL!!!* I felt so happy when they came in the mail I watched it all day and the next. I even whipped out the lyrics to his songs and picked out which were which even though they had the Japanese titles. Awesome, as my nephew would say. Alisha is a fan too, but I was shocked to hear she never heard him actually sing!!!!! O.O SHOCKED!!! So yeah, I'm gonna have to make plans where we can just sit and watch the DVDs down my place if I can. ^__^ Well, that's all that's been happening. Laters!!

Okay, haven't exactly fixed this yet. Sorry for the small area. Just thought I'd update a little with life here. Got my Spring grades back got an A- in Art history, B in English and---D in Stats. *Burst out in tears* IT'S HORRIBLE!!! I told my parents still, my parents deserve to know the truth. I can't keep secrets from them. They weren't as mad about it as I thought they would be. They tell me just to try harder. *sighs* I made my first few greetings. *Smiles Real Big* SO COOL!! I LOVE THEM!! My favorite is between the Oh! My Goddess and the Joey Yugioh one. I also put up a new wallpaper from Hikaru Kaze. Soji!! I love him!! ^__^ I did some cool effects on the collague of manga scans I made and it looks like an anime!! SO COOL!! I was kidnapped by my mom and two older sisters and was FORCED to go shopping! NOOOO! NOOOOO!!! I DON'T---okay. LOL, I loved trying on all the clothes, but didn't like any. Went to Payless and looked at all the cool cute shoes!! LOVE SANDALS!! And I got a Wicked cool jacket on winter clearance. I LOVE IT!!!! I had to get rid of my khaki tranch coat which saddened me. My Godparent gave it to me, but it got a mysterious red spot on it...SADNESS!! Well, that's all for today! Laters!

Man, I keep posting don't I? Well, I finished with my finals and I'm on Spring Break for this week!

YAHOO!!

*Jumps into the air with fist and does a little jig* Man, o man!! I'm gonna do ALL KINDS OF STUFF!! Like sleep, eat, and sleep some more!!! PARADISE!! lol, I think I'm probably gonna stay inside all day if I can and just chill. I only get a week until I have to go back for my spring classes.*pouts* Man, I can't BELIEVE I won't get Easter off. Man, that sucks...Good news is, once I pay for my books I should have some money left over! ^__^ BUT!! *sighs* The RESPONSIBLE part of me tells me I should save it for books again or other important stuff. I shouldn't go wasting it on ANIME or CDS or FUN BOOKS or other stuff like that.

IT WAS SOOOOO COOL LAST NIGHT HERE!!! My family and I were sitting in the livingroom watching the American version of Dark Water when outside it was raining hard and we even saw flashes of lightning and heard thunder. My older sister screamed, it would have been funnier if she hadn't pulled my arm which I was holding hot chocolate in. Eh, I was cold anyway, but it burned her a little. My brother said that we had the perfect weather for watching Dark Water. It was pretty cool, but has a really sad ending.

Let's see, what else in my life? Oh! I'm gonna try and get a savings account of my own hopefully soon. whipee...and what else? Hm, *tries to think* OH YEAH!! FAYE-CHAN AND KONEKO!! I think they're coming back to old Bako! Maybe we can go to an all you can eat chinese food place and movies when they're here. That would be fun, or we can all go raid Gany's house and then Borders? lol, man, I can't wait to see them again. Although I may not look excited at times, inside I'm always am. ^__^

it feels like I haven't posted stuff about myself here in a long time. Well, gots some stuff that might make yalls smile or remember when something similar might have happened to you once.

I went to class a few days back and found out it was cancelled. So I RAN back to the bus that would take me home. I was so thankful after knocking on the side of the bus that they let me on. Man, I was sooooo tired!! Once I got off at the depo I decided I had enough time to just go wandering in the mall seeing that the people at home wouldn't be expecting me until later. I didn't really waste any more time than I normally would taking the bus to the stop I ususally got off at. I must have been walking fast.

Anyway, I had a pretty good day until I try to open the door to my house. It was locked. They must have gone out to eat. So I go through the backyard to check all the usual entrances I can try. But rotten luck. I can't open a single one. I even tried opening a window to my mom's room and ended up hurting my fingers.

Then when I go back to the front again I remember my dad stayed home from work because he was sick. So I knock a few times REALLY loud and ring the doorbell like a maniac. No one answered. I stood there a few more minutes, but still no answer...They must have taken my dad somewhere to eat because he hasn't eaten all day, I think.

I would usually sit on the steps for hours, but that day I forgot my phone inside the house because it was recharging. I start worrying that my mom will worry and I then decided to find SOME way inside.

I look up and the bathroom window is open, but at least two feet above my head. I look around and find the wobbly stool that would lift me up to get in if I angle it. So I manage to stand stable on the stool, but once I look down...NO WAY!! The tub is too deep and if I get hurt or end up DEAD no one would know or be able to help me. So that idea was a goner.

I sit longer on the steps mumbling some nonsense, rather LOUDLY might I add. Then I look to see the window to my brother's bathroom open, but there's a screen on it, there are bottle though that might shatter if I just push it out, and it's about the same height above my head as the other window, or even higher seeing that it was off where the concrete is. There's the blue recylable thing and the stool. I made like a stair with both of them. It was wobbly, but I somehow managed. There was a small rip in the screen so was able to get the bottles safely out of the way before entering. Getting down and going up with the bottles in my arms was hard and I almost fell over a couple of times.

Once the bottles are out of the way I push in the screen. In my brother's bathroom there's a small frigerator that I could climb on, but there was all sorts of stuff on it. I knock them all down each landing with a BANG!! Once cleared I squeeze through the window. (might I add it only opened half way!!) I almost fell twice and gasped several times from trying to find the recyclable container which had fell over!! By I MADE IT!! SO HAPY I DIDN'T DIE OR GET STUCK IN A HUMILATING SITUATION!!! Once in I open the door and walk out feeling VERY TIRED AND HUNGRY.

When I open the door my dad is standing right there wide eyed and crazy hair. I screamed and he got scared. I didn't expect him to be there!! He tells me he heard some bangs and came to see what it was. WITH ALL THE FURY WITHIN ME!!!!! I growled at him and pretended to choke him and pumble him!!! He laughed at me and told me how my sister had given him some cold medicine and how he was watching tv with the volume on high. I walked away mumbling and growling at him. He asked why I didn't knocked and it only got him deeper into the whole.

Eventually I forgave him, but he thought it was sooooo funny he told everyone who came home. *Shakes Head*

Ah, it's been a long time since my last post...at least it feels like it. Well, let's see I think I'll list the most recent events and diasters.

Well, awhile back I was making dinner by myself for the first time. *Extremely happy fist at side* I SOOOOO ROX!!!! It came out very good maybe so much that it could have been considered delicious! Well, everything was going fine, I got to watch some Hellsing!! LOVE THAT ANIME!!^__^ But we I reached out to take off the top of the pot--@$#!# @!$!$ !@#$ !!!!

lol, no I didn't really say that but it sounded more like a bunch of choppy wanna be japanese sounds. The steam had collected at the top of the lid and it all came down on my hand seriously burning it. I threw the pot top on the stove with a loud crash, but surprisely no one heard. *sweatdrop* I ended up bandaging up my hand with some ice. Man, it HURT SO BAD!! I couldn't even touch the blankets which I was in. (Watched Doom too.) If I put it against anything warm it would start burning like HECK! Needless to say I had a hard time sleeping last night and my other hand was an ice cube. ;__;

Let's see, I've been watching Hellsing the past couple days from my brother's Netflix's and I like it alot. lol, everytime the Catholic priest pops up were always cheering for him. Integra gets on my nerves a little, how she hates the Catholic church so much, but I shouldn't take these things personally, ne?

I went to an open art studio here at Cal State. It was pretty interesting. I came across my teacher and she was really glad that I came. Kinda cool. In the ceramics and drawing studio they had some pretty amazing portraits, but I just loved the charcoal and pastels. I love drawing with charcoal and never wouldn't have known if I didn't take my ART 101 class. Funny thing was there were a lot of Japanese people there too. lol, I wished I spoke Japanese

There was also a scuplture studio, but the stuff there was pretty disturbing and morbid. It kinda freaked me out being there all alone with these pieces that seemed to come out of several nightmares I've had. *shivers* I really wished I was with someone then, but everyone was busy.

At the painting studio, there were simply AMAZING canvases!! I got to walk around and explore and even caught a guy who was working on a piece which was several feet high!! WAY ABOVE MY HEAD LITERALLY!! It was just simply phenomenal, and I can't wait until I start my art classes!! ^___^

Eh, I think I'll write more some day later, kinda forgot what else I was going to say. Don't you hate it when that happens? Well, Laters! Hope yalls doing okay out there. ^__^

I was watching some Kenshin yesterday with my brother and we got in a debate over Yahiko's voice. (English voice actor) He was saying he was the same as Ash from Pocket Monsters. (Pokemon) but I KNEW he just WASN'T!! IT DROVE ME CRAZY!! I started looking at the credits and unfortunately I couldn't find any pokemon videos I use to have. (I use to like it when it first began, now not so much.) Then I saw who did Kenshin's voice. I thought Yahiko's voice was the same as Jim Hawkins from Outlaw Star so I went there to check it out. Nope, not there, but another name caught my eye. It was the person who did Kenshin's voice Richard Hayworth. At first I thought he did Harry MacDoggles' voice because they kinda similar, but no. I know I told Ganymede that I would try to put more stuff about me here. Heh heh, listening to the Matrix Soundtrack for the first movie. SO COOL!! I love that one. I saw the second one and it was eh...I got bored with it and I think I left before it could all finish. The thing with the cake and the lady was all too disgusting and perverted...ew...that's when I left. I haven't seen the third one yet. I heard it was a lot better. I just don't quite like how it got all romantic with that one girl and Neon. Neon was cool though, SUPERMAN!! LOL, I liked the part where he could fly.

Let's see, what's up with me?

Well, my dad was talking to me a few days ago asking what the family would do if he retired in the Spring and took a four day vacation somewhere with my mom. It was a little depressing because my dad is getting old and my mind always wander to depressing stuff and I get all BLAH!! But I reasonable started telling him the obvious, such as my little sister would need a ride to school, my brother would also need a way to get to work and such.

I was surprise that he didn't stop to think about those sort of things. He said he didn't tell my mom yet, so no biggie. It's sad and depressing when I think too much on these things. And I think I've been doing an okay job than how I use to be on the subject.

Hm, my family went out to eat yesterday and it was fun although I wasn't that hungry. We went to an all you can eat chinese buffet. My older sister and I waited at the tables to order the drinks, she told me to order five waters. I laughed and made an angry voice demanding my order while lightly slamming my hand on the table Kyo style. ^___^ lol, then the waiter guy popped up and I think he heard me. He was laughing while placing down the few waters he had and said, "I'd better go get some more then."

I was surprised he heard me and my older sister laughed out loud. It was funny. I can't help my out bursts sometimes. I'm not really angry sometimes and voicing out frusterating thoughts or compliants really helps my mood sometimes. Then again there's always that saying, "Talking to yourself is the first sign of insanity." LOL, if that's true then uh oh...

Also reminds me of when I had to climb the four flights of stairs. (Five if you count the basement part) I was going to read a little more about Bernini and other Baroque artists, for fun. I was wheezing a little when I noticed I was on the wrong floor I pulled out the Ranma angry fist combined with a little of my own anime style for depress/angry/sigh feeling. A person going by looked at me kinda strange and asked if I was all right. LOL, I swear I remind myself too much of a cartoon sometimes. I feel nervous and was sure a sweatdrop mark appeared right above my head when I told then I was fine and keep going up the stairs.

Hm, I another essay to write for my English class. The articles are SOOO long!! I just have to get all the pieces together and get an idea and thesis formulated. I still have almost a week to get it done. Still I want to get started early...What do you guys think about furthering technology? To be or not to be that is the question.

On a TOTALLY different subject!!! I just finished cleaning my room!! *BIG TEARY EYES* It's so beautiful!!!! ^__^ I ususally hate cleaning it up especially the closet area. AND ANOTHER TOTALLY OFF SUBJECT MANNER!!

I went to the mall yesterday walking home and was thinking of getting some ear piercings when I have the money. It would be nice, I was looking around comparing different store prices, looking at all the girly different earrings. It was fun, looking at the hair places to. I've been trying to grow it out, but I'd like to get it professionally streaked or something artsy with it. LOL,I'm open to any suggestions. Well, I'll take my leave now with hopefully more interesting stuff next time either about me or someone or something else. Laters! ^__^

Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII:

I WANT THIS SOOOO BAD!! Suppose to come out in July I think. Man, I'M SO EXCITED!!! It's suppose to happen after Advent Children movie. The theme you're hearing is "Redemption" by none other than Gackt. He helped with the action movements with the characters. Ya know would the people fight with those things on them and the are actually do CG characters. Anyway he does a voice of one of the characters I think. *Squeals* Gackt and Final Fantasy VII!!! IT'S LIKE A WONDERFUL DREAM!! I also included an article I found that might explain things better. Well, I seriously have to go now.

Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII is the third installment in the compilation of Final Fantasy VII series. Instead of starring Cloud or Tifa the game focuses on other cast members who didn’t have as much of a presence in Advent Children. The enigmatic sharpshooter Vincent Valentine takes center stage along with Cait Sith and Yuffie as the main supporting cast members. Square-Enix could have made another RPG or action RPG but they opted to do something totally new. Defined as a “gun RPG” Dirge of Cerberus is the first RPG cross FPS.

When the game gets underway you’ll run around with a third person camera following behind you. Vincent can do a melee combo by pressing X and jump if you press circle. But Dirge of Cerberus is really all about shooting. When you press R1 the game goes into “gun mode”. Vincent moves to the left corner of the screen and the camera shifts to an over the shoulder perspective a la Resident Evil 4. Now you can start blasting a way with your pistol by aiming with the right analog stick and pressing R1 to fire a burst of shots. Even though you can adjust between normal and reverse for both axes aiming takes awhile to get used to. What’s worse is that you can’t really focus on dodging and attacking at the same time. Vincent moves unbearably slow when he draws his gun. On top of that he can’t jump or dodge roll while shooting. So you’re pretty much forced into standing in one place, while walking slowly to avoid shots. Since you’re mostly stationary your best defense is shooting each enemy once and then rotating to the next enemy. Each time you land a shot you can stun an enemy for a second to prevent your foe from shooting at you. In some ways the shooting mechanic is more similar to a light gun game than a first person shooter.

Vincent has some abilities unique to him like using materia. You can equip materia on your gun and use the secondary fire, L1 button to use it. However, there really isn’t a deep materia system. Fire materia just shoots a sphere of fire, like a wide range bullet. Using materia does take up magic points, which you can obtain by running over glowing circles. While you could spend your magic on casting spells it’s probably better used to transform Vincent into his beastly forms. If you press L1 and R1 at the same time Vincent will use his FF7 limit break ability. This change is expensive, it consumes one entire MP meter bar and the remaining MP drains every second when you’re in an alternate form. When Vincent turns into a werewolf he’s given a phenomenal boost to his melee attack and can shoot a short range fire attack by pressing R1. He also gets an added defense bonus, which makes a transformation key for boss battles. Transforming also recovers all of Vincent’s HP. This is pretty much the only other way to recover HP other than using your limited stock of potions.

One thing disappointing about Dirge of Cerberus is that the best action sequences are all in FMVs instead of having a player control them. We watch as Vincent leaps into the sky to shoot down a plane and as he kicks an enemy into the air to finish him off with a burst of bullets. But we can’t actually do any of that in game. The amount of action is limited to the shooting gallery gun mode and if enemies get too close a flurry of hand to hand kicks. There aren’t killer combos, just chains of successive well aimed shots. No jumping around, limited puzzles that are really fetch quests and just a tad of exploration. Dirge of Cerberus throws out many of the gameplay mechanics that RPG fans expect. On the other hand the fast light gun style gameplay is entertaining. Dirge of Cerberus draws upon the light gun genre further by having stage missions when you try to save people from getting shot by shooting the enemies first.

At the end of each stage you’re awarded experience points which you can use to level Vincent up. Or you can trade in your precious EXP for gil so you can purchase items like Phoenix down or gun accessories. Gil is also useful for upgrading weapon parts so you can build a stronger gun. There are four parameters to consider when building your gun: power, range, speed and weight. All of them are self explanatory expect weight, which affects the speed Vincent moves while he’s carrying the gun. If you enter the customize mode Vincent can literally build a gun from scratch. You can alter the barrel, scope, frame, and more to make your own instrument of death. Build a rapid fire shotgun or create a long distance sniper rifle. Dirge of Cerberus offers lots of different gun options as you collect more parts. However, Vincent can only carry three different guns at a time. Since you can customize on the fly you can transform your pistol to a machine gun if you’re surrounded in the heat of battle. It might be unrealistic, but it guarantees that players can always create the right tool for the situation.

Outside of playing as Vincent you’ll also step into Cait Sith’s furry feet. When you’re the little guy you won’t tote a gun instead you’ll snoop around and try to avoid getting caught by the Deep Grand soldiers. Since Cait Sith is without his large companion, you can easily sneak behind crates and barrels. But if you get caught you won’t be able to fight back. Cait Sith’s claw combo does single points of damage.

Most people are probably picking up this game for the story and not just the gameplay. Dirge of Cerberus actually starts off directly after the events in Advent Children. Then the story quickly fast forwards to three years in the future where there is a war between Reeve’s World Revival Organization (WRO) and the Deep Ground Soldiers. Vincent is caught in the middle of this war and he’s drawn into helping Reeve’s side out. In between the gunshots we’re given a full glimpse of Vincent’s past. We finally know why he was locked up in Shinra mansion and how he obtained his trademark skills. It sounds like fan service, but Dirge of Cerberus manages to hold its own in the story department. This is probably obvious, but if you haven’t played Final Fantasy VII most of the plot won’t be clear since the game doesn’t spend much time introducing characters.

Square-Enix makes sure that it won’t disappoint gamers with the visuals. Dirge of Cerberus looks great. Realistic facial expressions and excellent character Advent Children based character models are what people want to see. The Hollywood inspired action sequences are great too, even though we can’t play them. Probably what is most impressive are the full motion video sequences that have a level of detail similar to Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. The only minor complaint is the dark and generic level design. Otherwise Dirge of Cerberus lives up to Square-Enix’s high visual standards. The music is another story. The game background music is mellow ambient sounds, something different from the epic scale that Square-Enix typically uses or pulse pounding music you would see in an action game. It fits with Vincent’s mysterious character, but it’s not memorable except for Gackt’s theme.

Dirge of Cerberus is bound to polarize Final Fantasy fans. Some gamers will appreciate the “something new” value that Dirge of Cerberus offers. It has fast paced arcade style action and a good story. However the game’s controls are severely flawed. It’s best played with a USB keyboard and mouse if you have one. On top of that gamers looking for a tight controlling FPS or an in depth RPG are looking in the wrong place. Dirge of Cerberus only has elements of each those genres tied together.
