Back on the ship, Luffy was eating once again. Chopper had bandaged up Zoro and left him to rest. All the guys, (except Zoro) were in the kitchen. Nami, Michiyo and Yumi were talking out side. “Weird day huh?” Yumi said smiling. “Yeah, well it’s great to have you guys back.” Nami said as she put her arms around their shoulders. There was a short silence. Finally, Nami said “Well, those buffoons have eaten twice today, while I haven’t had one bite!” she headed for the kitchen, leaving Michiyo and Yumi alone. “Meesh, you ok?” Yumi asked. Michiyo looked out into the ocean. “I’ve been thinking,” “oh no!” Yumi said with a laugh. Michiyo rolled her eyes. “No seriously. It seems like everyone has a dream that they want to follow to their grave. I was just wondering if I had ever had one. Thinking back…I don’t think I ever had a life long dream. I just wanted a normal life…” there was a short pause. “Every one has a dream they wanna follow. You just haven’t found yours yet.” Yumi tried to smile. “What about you?” Michiyo asked. Yumi sighed. “It’s kinda impossible.” Yumi said looking down. “I have always dreamed of finding my sister again, and rebuilding our restaurant… as a family.” “Aw Yooms!” Michiyo gave her a hug. “You know…HE said something…” Michiyo began. But, they heard a noise from behind them. They turned to see Sanji, with two plates of food. “Uh, sorry to interrupt, but I thought you girls might be hungry.” Yumi smiled and took a plate. “Thanks,” she said softly. Sanji blushed slightly and offered the second plate to Michiyo. “No thanks, I’m not hungry.” There was an awkward silence. “I’ll go check on Zoro. You two talk.” Michiyo said as she turned to leave. As she walked away, Sanji stopped her. “Michiyo, here take this to Zoro. If you get hungry, we have plenty. That is, if Luffy doesn’t eat it all first.” Michiyo laughed. She nodded and took the plate.

Michiyo sat on the stairs that lead to the men’s quarters. She watched Zoro sleep until he twitched. He sat up and saw Michiyo. He smiled slightly. Michiyo said nothing. “What happened?” he asked rubbing his head. “Two shots to the stomach.” She said fiddling with her ring. “No wonder I passed out.” He tried to joke. Michiyo furrowed her brow and stood up. “You think it’s funny that you almost died!?!?” she yelled at him. She put her hand on her head and turned around. “Michiyo, what’s wrong?” Zoro stood up. She kept quiet. Finally Michiyo said something. “You…you would have died for me?” she held her arms like she was cold. “Zoro, you would have thrown away your life, your dream…for me!” her voice was wavering. He came up behind her and reached out to touch her. But she spun around to look him in the eye. She had tears streaming down her face. “You said you didn’t want to lose me? I would rather die than be without you!! If you had died for me…” she stifled a sob. “I would be dead inside for the rest of my life.” Zoro looked at her for a long time. He looked partially hurt. But he put his arms around Michiyo and held her in a tight embrace. “Before the gunshot, you were going to say something?” Zoro said, not letting her go. Zoro leaned in to kiss her. But Michiyo put her finger on his lips. She pulled away. “No, Zoro. I’m sorry. We can’t.” With that, she attempted to climb up the ladder up to the deck. “Wait.” Zoro grabbed her arm. Michiyo climbed down and looked him in the eye. She took a deep breath and forced a smiled. “Zoro, if I’m gonna be on your crew, we can’t…” Zoro just nodded. “Just friends.” Zoro winced as if it hurt him to say it. Michiyo looked down and nodded. She forced another smile. She then went up to the deck.
Meanwhile, while all that was going on, Yumi looked down at her plate and frowned. “What’s wrong? Is it the food?” Sanji asked. “No, no! It’s wonderful, really.” She forced a smile. There was a pause. “I over heard you and Michiyo.” Sanji said quietly. Yumi kept quiet. Finally she turned to him. There were tears in her eyes. “I just miss having a family so much.” she wiped a tear away. Sanji put his arms around her. “This crew could be your family.” He said quietly. She looked up at him. “You said you wanted to open a restaurant? I used to work on the Baratie. But I left it for my dream… to find the All Blue.” He said looking into her eyes. She pulled away. “You mean, that’s real?!” she seemed pleasantly surprised. “Ever since I was little, I’ve heard so many stories about it. But I never thought it was real.” She looked at him, wanting more information. Sanji told her how he had always dreamed of the one place where all the fish of the world gather, the ‘All Blue’. Both of them lit up when they talked about it. After a short time, they were both lost in their own thoughts. Finally Sanji broke the silence. “You know, I haven’t been smoking recently,” he said acting a little cocky. “Well, I’m glad you found something to motivate you to stop.” She said smiling. “Its you.” he said “You’re the reason I stopped.” Yumi’s smile faded. “Really?” she asked. He nodded. She smiled softly. “That has got to be the single most romantic thing I’ve heard you say.” “I can top that…” Sanji said as he leaned down. “I love you…” he whispered. After he kissed her on the mouth, then the cheek, he then worked his was down her neck. But Yumi pulled away. Michiyo had just come up from the men’s quarter. She looked upset. She totally ignored Yumi and ran into her own room. “Meesh?”
