Get Your Dress All Wet and Send it To Me
Yesterday I went through a horribly long and tiring process of paper work, physicals and drug tests, among other things, to work as a casual clerk in the post office. I was there for close to five hours, running on two hours of sleep. By the time it was over I was so insanely happy about leaving I nearly creamed my pants. The nice thing about all the bullshit I went through yesterday is that at least I'm getting the job. I mean they wouldn't put me through all that if I didn't... hopefully. ::sigh:: So yes, I will most probably be working nights although I passed the typing exam which automatically qualifies me for a day position. I'm not sure. I start school May 9th so I'd like to have some sort of set schedule before then at least. If I read the paper correctly the position pays $12.00 an hour and apparently you get a lot of over time on weekends so yea. I shall see, I need a job so hopefully this comes through. I hate looking for work. I also hate being broke. I have a whopping $38.00 in my checking account, how fucking depressing.

I finally finished my financial aid paper work for the upcoming school year. I've also been e-mailing back and forth with Columbia for the past couple of days. Since I'm coming in as a transfer student I wasn't sure if I had to reapply or what. I normally would, but the lady went ahead and changed the date of entry on my old application for me and now I'm waiting for another acceptance packet in the mail. I should be getting that in the next three weeks or so. My mom and sister are moving to NY in December/January. Classes at Columbia begin January 23 so I should be leaving toward the beginning of the month. I'm pretty excited and glad. I guess since I've gone through all this before and I know how much the disappointment can hurt and thus I'm not letting myself get too excited so soon, but yea. I'll get there.

Btw,
I, Sarah Isabel Martinez, have passed College Prep Math. A nice Fuck You to all those nay sayers that said I wouldn't ^_^;;
