Little Women
So anywho, I just got done watching the movie Little Women (It was the remade version) and me, a big fan of the Victorian era, couldn't help but dwell on the thoughts of how historicaly incorrect the dresses were! The story was in the 1860's, I know this because of the father who was a soldier in the Civil War, a war in the 60's! Now, during this time, the dresses would have been at their biggest! And yet, it shows the skirts as those of the Turn of the Century, which was after the era with the bustel dresses. Later in the story it showed Amy March in a Bustle gown; in the fashion of a bustle gown from the 70's! The only thing I saw that was historicaly correct were the blouses, and the sleeves (lower half) were a bit off as well. And, of course, the movie wasn't as good as the book. The movie wasn't even as good as the original film!
