Eh,... Hey?...
I know, I know,...I know... *sigh*

I've been doing it again, I know.

Seriously, I don't MEAN to neglect my account on here, or my portfolio. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things again. You know, updating every Saturday and Sunday. Honestly, I'm TRYING! O.o

It's just... ah blah... I'm not feeling as productive as I used to be. Honestly, my ability to have new crap for you to stare at every weekend has fallen greatly since I graduated. (Yeah, I forgot to mention that too. Akane was no longer a highschool student as of the 31st of May.)

Anyway, I've realized that I was a lot more productive during school and not just in my Art class. Most of the crap in my gallery I've done in either my science, history, or math courses...

Now that I'm done, my sketchbook has been crying from neglect and threatening to file charges.

I should probably just drive to the park everyday to draw or something. I'm never very productive at home, just in other places. *sigh* That might be the main problem.

Anywayz,... I SWEAR on my new laptop that I will not do it again unless for good reason. Like my computer dies, I leave home for the weekend, etc...

Hey, Guys!
I realize that I have pretty much neglected my Otaku account for over two months now. However, it took me a while to get back into the swing of things. I do, however, promise that this weekend it will be back to the usual routine of updating my gallery every Saturday and Sunday. ^^ Hopefully, that will make some people happy.

Anyway, I'm going to be graduating highschool on the 31st of May. Some time afterwards I will be moving away from home here in Alabama to Alaska. I can honestly say, especially after the tornado, that I will really miss this place.

I know that in the past, I have complained about Alabama on a few previous posts before. However, I realize that I have grown attached to this little town and I know that I'll miss it too. I just wish that it hadn't require a near death experience for me to finally realize that.

Anyway, in the next few days, I will be posting a drawn picture of Jamie Vidensek. She was a member of the church that my parents attend, and I knew her well. She was, sadly, also one of the 8 highschool victoms that were killed during the tornado. I may even do a few tributes for the other victoms as well.

Anyway, getting off the sadder subjects, I am now continuing with my education at the Junior college here in Enterprise along with the rest of the highschool. Mon-Thurs 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The hours are much shorter, but we still get to graduate on time and in the football stadium at the old highschool. We've had a lot of volunteers come and clean the stadium just so that we can still hold it there.

As for a few other catch up information on my life, well, I went to Prom a few weeks ago. Rachel Ray came and catered the affair and Mandy Moore showed up to sing. Rachel Ray can cook, but I honestly hate her personality. She's nothing more than an ego feeder, and only came to our Prom in order to make herself look good. >.> Mandy Moore, however, was a lot cooler. I actually managed to chat with her a little when I was leaving. She was 'spazzy', it was like talking to one of my own friends. X3

We're also going to be having a huge concert here on May 3rd. They'll be selling tickets at the door, and ALL the proceeds are going straight to the school. However, members of Enterprise High get in free. The band that arranged the concert is Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Skyline Drive will be opening the show for them. I honestly can't wait to go. ^^

Senior Year... I'll Remember Mine Forever...
One month before the big art show, two before the Senior Prom, three until graduation...

Six seconds of sheer terror took all of that away...

Anyone who has seen the news regarding the tornado that ripped through the Enterprise Highschool in Alabama, knows what I'm talking about. However,... no one knows as well as I, or the other innocent victoms, do of just how terrorfying it really was.

I was in Alabama on March 1, 2007. I was in the city of Enterprise...

I was in those very school hallways...

I heard the screams, the sound of things crashing, felt and heard the wind, and the chilling silence that followed.

I saw the damage, the destruction it left behind from the eyes of a 'victom' at first. I saw the caved in hallways, and fellow student's trapped beneath as we were forcefully herded out the door when it was safe. I saw the torn apart classrooms and glass covered floors. I saw many of my classmates bleeding heavily as they were quickly assisted outside by teachers and other students. I heard desperate shouts of names, and crying as we made our way out and towards the church building next door.

Everyone was just like me... Seconds ago, we were in the hallway, huddled against the wall for what we believed to be another 'lame' severe weather drill. All of our care free feelings were quickly stripped away from us in a matter of seconds.

I was lucky, I managed to get out of it without a scratch.

Everything happened so fast. All we had on our minds was the rest of the school year, breaks, and going off to college. I remember hoping that I would only be called a 'victom' of the storm. However, I became a 'survivor' when it was learned that eight people were found dead beneath some of the rubble. It leaves such a numbing feeling behind.

I realize that my house is just fine, it wasn't hit at all, but I still can't help feeling like that I've been left homeless in a way. So many memories were in those halls, and it's where I met my very best of friends. I should be in school right now also, but then the question of 'What school?' comes in.

Just before the tornado hit, when we went into the hallway, we thought we'd be fine and it was just going to be raining real hard for a while. I was even drawing in my sketch book for the first few minutes before putting it away once I had finished a new picture, chatting with one of my best friends who was sitting next to me. It was around that time that our Art teacher shouted for us to huddle close and pull our feet in, the lights went out, and the screaming started. It happened so fast, but it felt like an eternity and the aftermath was even worse.

The questions of 'What if?' and 'Why?' keep coming to mind. Like, what if I had been sitting in a different area of the school, or why did this happen now and to us?

Eight people were left dead. Countless others were injured, including three of my own friends. They lived though, and I'm thankful for that. However, I feel so incredibly empty now. Like pieces of the puzzle that made my life complete have become lost, and the picture is no longer whole.

I know things can NEVER go back to the way they were before, but will the puzzle ever be whole again?

Sorry... ^^;
Hey, guys!

Um,... yeah,... I'm really sorry that I haven't been updating my gallery every weekend like I usually do on Saturday and Sunday morning. I'm honestly not exactly sure as to why I have been neglective of my own gallery. I'm really sorry too! I hope nobody thought that I dropped dead or anything! ^^; I'm still alive and kicking!

Currently though, I'm in Mobile Alabama right now. I came here Saturday morning after spending the night at my friend Kim Lee's (Jamethial) house. I was here for MARDI GRAS!!! WOOHOO!!!

HOWEVER, before any dirty thoughts wonder in, THIS Mardi Gras parade isn't like the ones in New Orleans or any MAJOR city. It's more 'family' friendly, if you understand what I mean. You only have to yell and scream like an idiot to get them to throw the bead and stuff at you. No need for the ladies to flash the crowds. {Thank GOODNESS for that too! >.>)

LOL, though, I can't exactly feel my own neck anymore from the weight of all the beads I got. XD

Anyway,... I'm sorry about neglecting my gallery for the past few weeks. I PROMISE that this upcoming weekend I will go back to updating my gallery every Saturday and Sunday morning for you guys. Sorry once again! ^^

Thrown My Hat Into The Ring!
I finally have my contest entry for the Breat Cancer Awareness contest that The Otaku is holding. I'm actually quite proud of my entry. It took a few rough sketches and doodling to get to the final copy, but I am very pleased with the turn out.

I hope I can count on you guys to view it and comment to tell me what you think. ^^

LOL, funny thing was, I was actually considering on doing a Breast Cancer Awareness picture MONTHS ago anyway, before this contest was even announced. XD Anyways, LOVE YOU ALL BUNCHES and I hope you wish me luck! ^^

Thinking...
I really like how my site looks right now, but I have been considering giving it a new look. The only thing that I have changed for the moment is the song on my site. It no longer the opening song for Yu Yu Hakusho. Now, it's "Butterfly" by Smile.DK, which is also a DDR song. ^^ Don't know, that song just makes me think of Kochou so that's why I decided on that one. ^^

Anyway, I am considering giving my site a new look, but not terribly sure yet. I have tried to keep a look permanent, but I always want to change it later. ^^; I can never stay constant. Oh wel...

Anyway, just to be completely random because I still love Pokemon. *huggles Eevee evolutions* Here are some little Pokepets I found online. I based their levels off the levels of the same Pokemon that I have on Crystal. XD

Akane's PokéPet

Jolteon the level 82 Jolteon!

Akane's PokéPet

Vaporeon the level 81 Vaporeon!

Akane's PokéPet

Umbreon the level 80 Umbreon!

Akane's PokéPet

Espeon the level 80 Espeon!

Akane's PokéPet

Flareon the level 80 Flareon!

LOL, I just like Shigeru (Gary) from Pokemon both games and series. He was my favorite. XD

Perverts and Stuffs!
I kinda can't wait to go off to college, though the whole thing is still a slightly scary thought. ^^ Though, I guess I just really wanna leave Alabama. Okay, southern hospitality is nice and all, but being a pervert at the same time isn't great...

Situations like that really make me want to leave, or even not bother with guys almost. >.> I don't exactly look forward to walking into a store to have some guy twice my age stare at me.

Last weekend, while I was in Dothan, my friends and I stopped at this resturant to get something to eat. There was a group of three men standing by the door, talking, but stopped the moment we walked in. Okay, I probably wouldn't have cared about that, but I found it a little 'distasteful' to hear one of those men tell his friends, rather loudly, "Damn, that asian chick has a huge rack!"

I'm a 42 D cup, and proud, but that doesn't mean that I want some 30 something year old redneck man to have a conversation about them with his buddies! It made my skin crawl. :shudders:

Sigh...

ANYWAY!!! On a happier note, my birthday is coming up soon! Though, it falls on a Monday this year (My birthday is the 13th), I can still be excited over the fact that I will be 18! Woot! XD

No Art This Week
Sorry to say, but I won't be able to update my gallery this weekend like I normally do. The reason being that I am over at my brother's house, taking care of it while he and my sister-in-law are away. So, sorry, I won't be able to update my gallery until next weekend. ^^;

I apologize about that again. I propbably should have given everyone a heads up sooner. XD

Back From AWA!
I'm finally back from my trip to AWA-Con, the Anime Weekend in Atlanta Convention! As always, AWA kicks all the asses for on of the top five best conventions held in the south. I had the most awesome time there, the first day of the convention being the best one out of the three days that I was there. ^^

I met the HOTTEST guy cosplaying as Reno from FF7, as well as another guy cosplaying as Rude. The two of them were EXACT copies of the characters in both clothing AND looks! O.O It was SO badass!!! XD LOL, the Reno was hilarious though, I hung out with him when I got sperated from my group of friends, but that wasn't at all bad. X3

However, I believe what really was the chocolate icing with sprinkles on my cake was when after I got to watch the FMA Movie there. I got my FMA Movie poster signed by Vick and Travis, the voices of Roy Mustang and Edward Elric. *Squees herself to ultimate death!* Oh, god that was the best! It was also great to see that, for voice acters, they were both VERY attractive. LOL! X3
I'm getting my signed poster framed and matted. ^^

LOL, anyway. I had a total of 294 dollars for that weekend. After subtracting my share of the gas money and the fee I had to pay to register for the convention, I still had a total of 229 dollars to spend at the convention. I even managed to make it last for all three days, which I hardly ever do at conventions. XD

Anyway, here is my usual list of stuff that I blew my money on, just like all the others that I have given in the past when I returned from a convention. ^^

1. Gunter Button (Kyo Kara Maoh!)
2. Kaiba x Jou Doujinshi
3. Kaiba x Jou 'Written' Doujinshi
4. Kaiba x Jou 'Night Raid' Doujinshi
5. Kaiba x Jou 'Promise Me Seto-sama' Doujinshi
6. 'Ghost Legand' Yu Yu Hakusho Doujinshi
7. 'Haniver' Yu Yu Hakusho Doujinshi
8. Gravitation Wallscroll
9. Vincent Valentine Action Figure
10. Advent Children: Cloud Keychain
11. Advent Children: Tifa Keychain
12. Advent Children: Kadaj Keychain
13. Advent Children: Yazoo Keychain
14. Advent Children: Laz Keychain
15. Framed Kurama Picture
16. Youko Kurama Figurine

Gone to AWA!!!
Hey, it's currently Wednesday evening for me and I just wanted to inform you all that I will be leaving tomorrow on Thursday after school to go to AWA (Anime Weekend in Atlanta) with my friends for the whole weekend, including Friday.

Yeah, I'm skipping a day of school for this, which should explain just how excited I am to be going to this. LOL, my current savings for me to spend at this convention is a total of $294, MUHA!

Anyway, the reason I am informing you all of this is because of the fact that I will not be here this weekend, and I normally post two new pictures into my gallery on the weekend.

This is a notice that I will not have any new pictures posted for this weekend for you. Sorry. ^^;

Anyway, I shall see you all when I get back from my trip then. If anyone else is going to AWA, maybe you'll run into me. ^^ I'll be cosplaying as Kikyo. XD

Anywho, see you all on Monday!
