Light - Death NoteRandom Game Show Announcer: Congratulations! You have won a date with Yagami Raito!Your date showed up 15 minutes early, but you didn't care. "Come in," you hollered toward the door. You were busy watching the latest reports on Kira. You really appreciated what Kira was trying to do, but you weren't decided yet on whether or not you agreed with it.You turned your head as someone sat down beside you. "Hi, Light," you said as you started to stand up. "I'm sorry. I haven't even started to get ready yet."He smiled at you. "I didn't even notice. You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. You've always been the most beautiful girl I've ever known." You blushed, unable to say anything after such an amazing compliment by one of the smartest, kindest guys you'd ever known. Realizing the situation, Light added, "I didn't know you were so caught up in the Kira case."You snapped out of your stupor and turned back toward the TV. "Yeah. I'm not really sure what I think about Kira yet.""Oh?" Light inquired."Well, I agree with his ultimate goal. Having a world with no evil would be wonderful, especially after what happened to me last year," you said with tears threatening your eyes.Light nodded in understanding. "I remember that. You were attacked on your way back from classes, right?" You nodded. "Didn't Kira kill the guy who did that to you?" You nodded again. "That's one of the reasons I support Kira. The police told me that there was no physical proof of what had happened and since it was my word against his, he was set free." You reflected a moment before continuing. "But then I worry about cases where the person charged with the crime is innocent. What if Kira takes one of them out? That would make Kira a killer and not a protector of decency, right?"Light smiled. "I see your point. I think Kira takes time to consider that fact before he kills people. I mean, he doesn't kill petty offenders or anything. And I've never seen a case where he killed anyone before there was a lot of hard evidence against them."You smiled. "I don't want to talk about Kira all night. Let's go get some ice cream." You stood up and held your hand out to Light."Sure," he laughed. "No more talk of Kira, I promise."The two of you walked hand in hand to the closest ice cream vendor. You ordered your favorite ice cream cone and Light ordered a vanilla cone. You sat down on a park bench and watched some small children playing near by.You were startled by a voice near your ear, "That's my favorite ice cream, too."Light looked at the person who had just plopped down beside you. "Ryuzaki," Light said surprised, "What are you doing here?"The person beside you smiled, "I wanted some ice cream. I saw you and decided to say hello to you and your beautiful friend."You blushed. Guys never complimented you like this. Certainly not two guys in one day. "Thank you," you said to Ryuzaki. "I'm _____." You shook Ryuzaki's hand.Light sighed and pulled Ryuzaki to the side. You didn't know what they were talking about, but when Light returned to you, his friend only smiled and waved as he headed toward the ice cream stand. "Sorry," Light said as he came back to you. "He's a nice guy, but I just want to spend the day with you."You nodded. "I'm happy to be spending the day with you, Light."The two of you walked back to your place. Light pulled a notebook from his backpack. "There's something I have to tell you," he pulled you close to him and wrapped his arms around your waist as he set the notebook on your couch. He leaned in and whispered in your ear, "I'm Kira."You pulled back. "Light, don't joke."He smiled. "I thought you might react that way. Don't worry, even if you reject me, as long as you don't tell on me, I'd never hurt you. I think I might even love you."You smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck. "I don't believe you are Kira, Light." You went to kiss his lips, but he turned his head and your lips landed on his cheek.He had reached down and picked up his notebook. "Touch it. It'll prove that I am Kira."You smiled, thinking this was a big joke. When you touched the notebook, you immediately saw the Death God behind Light. You let go of Light and walked over to the Death God, studying his appearance. "What's your name?" He laughed. "Ryuk," he smiled at you. "Light was right about you. You don't scare very easily."You turned toward Light. "I still don't know if I agree with what you are doing, but I feel more at ease knowing it is a person like you behind this." You wrapped your arms around his neck again, pulling his lips toward yours.He stopped just centimeters from your lips. "I love you, ______."You sighed. "I don't know whether or not to trust the words coming from your mouth, but I do trust my own heart. It's telling me that I love you, too."His lips pressed tightly against yours and you smiled into the kiss. For the first time in your life, you felt absolutely right. Light picked you up and sat down on your couch with you on his lap, slowly moving your shirt from your shoulders while trailing kisses down your neck.The next morning you sat up on the couch and smiled at Light still sleeping next to you. You turned the TV on and watched the news with Ryuk. "What exactly did you do last night?" he asked you.You laughed. "If you want an explanation, you'll have to ask Light when he wakes up." You found Light's shirt on the ground and put it on. You went to the kitchen and started making some breakfast.As you were setting the table, you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist. "You look really sexy in my shirt and nothing else," he whispered in your ear.You smiled and turned toward him, kissing his lips eagerly. You pushed him off of you, "Ryuk has a question for you," you said as you began to dish up the food.
