Torn
Shut up, you emo.
M'kay. VV is here, in all it's slightly confusing glory, thrusting upon all us MyO users a decision I mentioned last post-- to stick with MyO, or start over in with a brand new shiny World. The arguments, for those of us conflicted, are something like this.
MyOtaku:
PROS: Familiar territory. MyO has been our hunting grounds for ages, and there's a lot of memories made here that can't be transfered over. Plus many of my friends don't seem to want to give up on it and it would be easier to keep in contact with them here.
CONS: Despite how many of my friends want to stay, some already have Worlds up and I can't view them without having one of my own (or at least I think you can't :? ). Plus, those who transfer might not come back, and I still want to keep in touch with them.
Worlds:
PROS: Having a World makes it easier to keep track of what's happening on the new Otaku and I like one/some/all of the new features they have for Worlds. The layout just makes more sense to me (Me:Huh?).
CONS: Some of my friends want to stay and, to be honest, I'm gonna miss the place. I could keep it going, but it would be (somewhat) of a hassle since I already have a World to maintain.
So those are the basic arguments, maybe not put in that exact way in everyone's head, but it's the same stuff essentially. My plan is to sorta ease out of MyO into Worlds-- kinda like pulling a bandaid off slowly.
.....
Um, 'kaaaaaay. Maybe that wasn't the best analogy. *sweatdrop* How about like slowly lowering oneself into a pool?
....That's no good either is it? I now have very little faith in this plan.
Well, I plan to post this up on my World anyway, so comment where you prefer and hopefully I, and any other conflicted persons, can make our decisions.
Maybe for the second to last time, (A.E.: Second to last? Oh yeah, reaaaal dramatic.)

All the World's a Stage...
But do I want to act?
Thanks to all of you who commented on my really short story last post. It'll help a lot when I rewrite it. Something I probably shoulda mentioned is that it's sort of a prologue to a much longer story. So yeah, you're going to get to know more about the thief and why the lady went all nuts like that.
That is if I finish the story. I have a bad habit of drifting off to do something else and never coming back. ^_^;;
Returning to the subject in the title, as you all know, when VV launches, there's gonna be a new buddy site/user system called Worlds. The question is should I get one or stick with a myO, assuming that's possible? I haven't heard of anyway to transfer data, such as quiz results or old posts, to a new World from myO. But maybe I should wait to find out, hm?
M'kay, there has been a few hour long break in between this paragraph and the last one. Currently I feel like I'm gonna throw up and I'm not sure wether that's the fault of the pizza or watching "Land of the Dead". It wasn't particularly scary, but it was kinda gross. Bunches of people being eaten alive and heads getting ripped off with the spinal cord still attached and stuff. The scares were only pop-out stuff and you could tell well beforehand when they were coming. So yeah, I'm thinkin' the crappy pizza.
Mfff. I'm about to fall asleep. My trainer worked me really hard today cuz I hadn't been in a while. I can't lift my arms above shoulder height, and when I laugh my abs hurt. D:< I'll see if I can keep up long enough to see VV launch though (which, if I'm not mistaken, which I don't think I am, which pulls into question the relevance of much of this sentence, is just a little bit late again).
See you in the World.
*shot* (Can't let a whole post go without one of those, now can we?)

I'm Feelin' Sorta Dif'rent Right Now...
Ahg! Duck'n'cover!
I'm not keepin' up with my posts so well lately, am I? Maybe once VV launches I'll get back in the swing. But for now, I have a little treat for you!
Alter Ego: Aw, crap. You guys better run.
Me: Shut up.
Alter Ego: That's it? "Shut up"? No special retaliation or anything?
Me: I told you, I'm feelin' kinda weird right now.
Alter Ego: No. You told me you-- and I quote-- was feelin' all dif're--
Me: *blows A.E. up with a bazooka* Ah! Much better! Now where were we?
Well, inspired by the return of writing to theO in VV, and writer's club today, plus this strange, slightly out of touch reality mood I'm in, I've decided to post a short story this time around. It's only a page and a half long handwritten, so it shouldn't entire kill-- I mean it shouldn't take up too much of your time. Enjoy!
Oh, and just for those of you a little iffy with cursing, this is a disclaimer saying there is some. You've been forewarned.
-------------------------------------------------
"What are you?"
"Excuse me?" The thief looked up from the spot on the ledge where he sat. It was that kooky lady, the baker's mother. Deft hand with dough, but nothing else.
"What are you? You're not of here."
"Just because I'm from out of town doesn't mean I'm not human like the rest of you. If I recall correctly, just about everyone here is from out of town, including yourself. Now where's your son? He should be worri--"
"Don't pull that bullshit on me! You're not of here, not not from here!" Screeching she backed away, pointing frantically at the thief who was now standing up. "You're devil spawn, aren't you? You were sent by the devil to lead us all to hell! Damn you!"
The thief frowned in exhasperation. "I'm human, miss." he said between her continued shrieks of "Damn you!" as she rummaged through her many necklaces for a cross.
"Damn you! Liar! Damn you! Damn you!" She found a cross and held it up between them. It seemed to enable her to speak normally again. "What about that arm of yours, eh? That's not human, is it?"
The thief instinctively gripped the arm she referred to. No one could see the disfigurement-- the thief kept it well hidden under sleeves, bandages and gloves. But because of that, everyone knew it was there.
"An accident when I was little. Now will you go home or do you find it fun to mock someone's childhood trauma?" The thief's voice was taut and loud as he said this, as if he were about to yell or explode into tears.
"Alrighty now, don't make a scene." The thief rolled his eyes-- he was the one making a scene? Meanwhile the kook was looking at the cross with curiosity, decided it was worthless and tossed it away. "Good luck smiting them angels then!" And with that she skipped off like a child who had just been read her favorite story and wanted to go play make-believe with its characters.
The thief sat back down with a sigh. Batty old witch. Then he held up his gloved hand against the cloudy sky and wondered how close to the truth she had been.
-------------------------------------------------
Impressions? I want to ask specific questions about what you thought of it, but I think I'll put it simply: be blatant. I'm not gonna learn anything if you aren't so anything little that bugs you or you didn't get this one small part tell me. If all I get is generic "Lol. That was good" answers, I'm gonna be pissed. Okay? Okay.
Still tagline-less,

Well, I'm bored so I guess I'll update finally.
IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!! SERIOUSLY, WHERE THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN?!
Erm... right. I could give you a long explanation on how the trip to Colorado went but it's late and I'm lazy. This brief summary will have to suffice.
Make damn sure you have photo ID when flying if eighteen or older-- they pat you down if you don't.
Flying in clouds at night is creepy cool. Watching the sun rise over the clouds is also worthwhile.
The Denver airport is humongous.
All the hills there are way too freakin' long and low, causing problems with depth perception.
The Radisson hotel sucks. So does their food. I survived the trip on a diet of trail-mix and Snickers bars.
The convention was cool. I'm now an official weather spotter, or will be once I get my certificate in the mail.
Never opt for the last row on an airplane unless you have no other choice.
And finally: You never realize how great your own room is until you've slept in one where the thunderous AC won't turn off even when you've hit the "OFF" button, internet access is nearly impossible because of an insane firewall, and, the biggy, you can hardly ever just be alone.
The day after I got back from the trip I just slept. Then went to a lit club meeting and slept some more. XP
After that a bunch of stuff happened that I can't recall at the moment for some odd reason. *shrugs* In future posts I'll probably be going "Oh yeah! And this thing I forgot to tell you about..." and then "Oh sorry I didn't mention this other thing before..." and so on and forth, etc. But for now I'll chalk it up to the fact I'm typing this way too late at night once again.
So now on to responses and maybe some questions.
timechaser: Lucky. The only thing that's in my size are their baggy jackets. Aside from that, I can't fit into anything.
DaFeather: If you like costume-y clothes and are a single digit size, Hot Topic is a really neat store. I like a lot of the videogame stuff they have their, if you're into that.
Allamorph: "I will make you ticklish."
Yes, yes, I got the sentiment the first time. Now are you going to just stand there jabbering away or are you actually going to try to fulfill on that promise?
ink.: Whoo-hoo! That's another one for Hot Topic! :D
Alter Ego: What're you so happy about? It's just a store... and a chain one at that...
Me: Shut up.
Alter Ego: That's my line.
Me: ..... *shoots alter ego* Now where were we? Ah, yes...
Well, I'm too tired to remember the questions I had planned out for you-- sorry. I'll get them up next time. In the mean time, feel free to ask any questions yourselves.
*I need a sign out*

Newsa Laptops!
Shut up, Jar-jar! *force choked*
I got a new laptop today! This means I can stay in touch while on the trip. Everybody cheer! :D
*cricket cricket* =_=
Well, anyhow, now I don't have to deal with Daniel having it the majority of the time. That's good. It's actually the primary reason it was bought. It's the current bottom of the line (have you seen the prices on the Air!? Holy crap...) but I really don't need more than that. The new ones come with Leopard though, and that takes a bit of exploring. And the trackpad stinks. But again, no problem.
Going to get it was really interesting. While picking out a protective case, an old classmate of mine walked in with his parents. They'd come to look at the Air's (they're freakin' rich). Kinda talked for a bit-- he looked really awkward-- before the mother of another former classmate from the same school walked in. *insert some confused line about fate/Universe/God here*
My mom and the other mom ended up talking about going professional in the art world (the other lady's daughter is one of those people who, when you look at their art, you look back down at your own, then hers again, and scream "WHY?!" in despair) and I meandered over to Hot Topic (Kiss me--I'm emo! :D) and stared at paraphanelia for about 15 minutes before they were done.
Robotic was fun today. I got to write algorithms! Meaning I got to be useful! Despite the team needing a logo and all, it's nice to actually be involved in the actual process.
Now, I know I said I was gonna leave for Colorado today (and some of you are probably wondering why I haven't said anything about it yet), but after calculating the amount of money gas plus motels would cost on the way up, Mom and I decided it would be cheaper to take a plane on friday instead. So we're flying out early tomarrow morning. Really early. As in wake-up-at-a-completely-incomprehensable-hour early. To catch our flight, we have to get up at four. D: Not fun. Thus, after I respond to y'alls comments, I'll be going to bed.
timechaser: Hey, don't worry about it. The whole wimp thing is just my ego going "Ahg! But I could do it before!" No depression is coming out of this. But thank you. It's not often I find people who actually care that much.^_^ And I could PM you a list of what I've seen/read. Cool?
DaFeather: I started reading Death Note before it exploded, actually. Saw an add in Shonen Jump, went "Huh. That looks kinda neat." and read. It's probably the only series a fandom has spoiled for me, though. I can hardly look at it straight now. D:
Allamorph: So because you're an eldest you think you have the advantage, hm? Well, I happen to be one too, albeit of three instead of four, but at that point it really doesn't make any difference, now does it? So this I say unto you: Bring it on! In the end, I promise it will be you who has died of laughter!
And by popular demand, no one is any longer a tater.
You are now all chips instead! XP
Fishin', Chips! (oh, gak...)

Ugh...
That's right-- I'm so bored I'm not even gonna bother coming up with a witty caption.
Or adding an emote.
Or really even post about anything because nothing's freakin' HAPPENING! *repeats title*
It seems after the many events of this weekend, the universe saw fit to reverse everything and bring it all to a halt. I am now, yet again stuck awake with boredom syndrome: there's nothing to do and I want to go to sleep but can't. Hopefully things'll pick up when we leave for Colorado. Oh, and Dan needs the laptop, so I'll probably be out of communication while I'm there. Eck.
Anyone have any suggested anime watching/ manga reading they recommend? I've seen all I was pursuing and need some new ones. I know timechaser had something up on his profile about a couple, but they sound just a little too, erm... graphic for me right now. *feels like a wimp*
Comment Responses:
Yea, everyone's happy it still works. (even lowgrade comments are taking a lot of brainpower at the moment, so bare with me here) And, sorry Alla, but I'm not really ticklish. Your plans to kill me have been thwarted once again! *blows raspberry*
Later, ta... aw, whatever.

Overload
Please reboot/slap me upside the head.
I apologize in advance for the extreme length of this post. It's been a busy two days.
Friday:
I woke up twenty minutes before my best friend's play started. I hurridly got dressed, swallowed my breakfast whole and practically ran up the hill to the school. Got there just as it started. It was entirely in spanish and german (twas a bunch of skits). My best friend was in the german part. Despite hardly understanding any of the words, it was acted very well so it was easy to get the gist of what was going on. I recognized almost everyone in it. They were all former classmates from the years I had gone there, so it was a bit nostalgic. I actually still tend to think of them as my class.
But enough about that.
After the play, I went home then left again immediately to go to robotics. Since I've never worked in this field before I mostly observe. One of the members caught site of one of my doodles (doodling is like white noise for me) though and now I'm designing the team's logo and an avatar for each person. Ay-eh.
No stopping at home this time. With Grandma and Evan (youngest brother) in tow, we met up with dad and Dan at Katze's Deli and went to another event I totally forgot to tell you guys was gonna happen.
A skateboard art show.
Yeah, now normally, that isn't my thing, but this was a benefit for my youngest brother's school, which is kinda struggling at the moment, so I had to go.
The skateboard art was really neat. There were about 200 different designs and supposedly that was only a fourth of this guy's collection. But an art show is still just an art show, and I sat around, doodling, trying to get a handle on what my team's avi's should look like most of the time.
That was until people started asking about the shirts. Mom and I had designed a black t-shirt with a sorta logo one it. At first it was just compliments from the people from the school saying they looked good, but as more guests came, I started getting asked where they could buy one. We hadn't anticipated that. So we quickly set up a preorder form. It would've been better if we'd had some shirts to sell right there and then, but as I said we hadn't anticipated it. We've now got a thing set up on cafepress.com for them though and have been handing out adds for the site, so hopefully it'll work a bit better.
Now mom knows I spend a lot of time here posting and commenting and apparently that news has circled around the school (it's a really small school). Unfortunately, it seems that for working moms and housewives, a teenager regularly being on the internet translates to "tech savvy genius". Nuh-uh. That didn't stop them from asking me to create a blog for the school, however. We're discussing the details of it on tuesday, so I'm not even exactly sure about what they want on it, but just in case, do any of y'all know of a really good HTML tutorial? Not just thereference FounderWeb thing that Adam posted-- but a real indepth one? T'would be greatly appreciated.
The art show wasn't the only attraction, of course. There was a bar and, starting at about nine, live rock bands. The first one was aptly named Crapulence and the second one was little better. Here's the funny bit of all this though. As I mentioned earlier, Grandma came along.
And rock bands play really, really loud.
... You catchin' my drift yet? Of you are. The look one her face was priceless. I laughed my head off. It also helped that she was kinda tipsy otherwise I think she would've had the presence of mind to leave before they started. But she didn't, so we ended up scribbling and doodling on a piece of paper to communicate and to keep ourselves entertained.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, she was perfectly fine. I wouldn't have laughed if she wasn't.
Anywho, got home. Talked with a friend on the phone about life, the universe and everything until about one, which is why I didn't update last night.
Saturday
Again, this morning it was eat and go. This time it was to the second part of the event. There was gonna be a skate demo this time in the parking lot in front of the art building. We helped run things until about seven. Then we ate dinner out and came home. And now I'm updating.
So... How many of you actually read all that/made it this far? Raise your hands if you did, boys and girls!
*shot*
Due to the long nature of this post, I'm gonna skip responding to the comments until next time. Sorry guys.
I hope all your days are less lengthy/insane than mine!
Later, Taters!

Grrr!
Arrg!
Well, I had this nice, long, descriptive post typed out for y'all, detailing the many adventures of today... but then I hit the wrong button and it all got deleted. >:o So instead of retyping it, I'm just gonna give you the bare bones.
What I forgot to mention yesterday was that I had tickets to the Globetrotters. They were silly and some serious skilz (how manny "s" were in that sentence?). Only downside was that the majority of the audience were pricks who didn't know how to clap or cheer. Overall, a very good time.
Sorry folks, but that's all you're gonna get. Now on to other stuff.
Not this weekend, but the next one, I'm gonna be disappearing to a stormchaser convention in Colorado. I love storms and, as cheesy as many of them are, I love stormchaser shows. Thus, on Valentines day, mom and I are off and won't be back until the following tuesday. I'll see if I can convince Daniel he'll live without the laptop for a few days so I can keep it with me and stay in touch. I'm not sure it's gonna work, though.
Responses:
timechaser: And the twin would be Nermal, then? Oi, I think I'm gonna be sick....
Allamorph: Still doesn't fit? Huh. From here it seems perfectly situated. As snug as a bug in a rug.
*shot*
DaFeather: Tis the will of the Force that drew you here, young padawan. Calm your mind and you shall understand....
*cut in half*
Well, unless I'm forgetting something again (which I probably am), that is all, ladies and gentlemen (freakin' awesome song-- I need to get it up there some day. Maybe when there's better videos with it.)
Later, Taters!

I'm-just-gonna-add-a-ridiculously-long-title-because-I'm-bored-and-can't-think-of-what-to-name-this-post. Did that seriously all fit? Well, crap! It did! How'dya like that?
.....
So, I'm back from the undead with no side effects. Well, aside from the occasional craving for brains.... Speaking of which, the two you gave me were yummy, timechaser. Whose were they?
So, I'm feelin' fine. My artwork posted and I've got another one on the way already. Actually, it's exactly the same as the last piece, only colored. I know I said I didn't color, and that's cuz I haven't for, like, the past two years. But a couple things perked my interest in it again, and so I'm back at it. It's gonna take me a few days though-- the darn pencil set I'm workin' with doesn't have skin tones, so there are many trials and tribulations occurring currently.
Replies to commments from the post before last:
Ae~: I honestly don't know the specifics and I'm wary of any information I gain on that front. Conspiracy theories like that tend to get blown out of proportion, even when there is a root of truth to them. I'm not closed off, just cautious. Also, assuming you did mean to type "honor" instead of "horror", I think you might have it backwards-- it's an honor to be the first one you've accepted.
timechaser: Mmmm! Mellow Mushroom! I absolutely love that place! Unfortunately there's only one in town, and it's located on the Drag, a heavily visited shopping area full of small, local shops right in the middle of downtown UT. I'd be flabbergasted if the wait was ever shorter than 45 minutes.
DaFeather: Yeah, I suppose homemade pizza would be the best. My mom's not much of a cook, though, so.... I think we'll be sticking with delivery.
Allamorph: Um... lol? You didn't really type much.... Though I can't deny what you did made a valid point. XP
Oh, I messed up the registration date last time. Apparently you only needed to have registered by Feb. 4th if you live in Texas and wanted to vote in the primaries here. My bad.
Lessee... anything else I'm forgetting? Hmmm.... Can't think of anything. Napping is not exactly the most exciting activities...
Meh, whatever.
Later, Taters!
